An accessory for my Monaco just arrived, in the coolest box ever!!! 😁

You bought a bracelet for the Monaco?

Now I’m jealous… I only got an ugly brown cardboard box when buying the bracelet directly from TH in Pforzheim as soon as it was released (That was still in Cal.11 times, IIRC) 😵‍💫

OTOH they kind of made up for it when they sent the 10 EUR strap tool in the most insane packaging… 😜

What is the price now for the Monaco bracelet? 300-ish? And did you have a hard time sizing it (I hate these double-screwhead solutions).

Yes & yes, $320 USD and it was a bitch to size.

The double screws are a pain, plus TAG uses thread lock glue, making some screws really hard to get off. The butterfly clasp has zero adjustment, but at least there are 2 half links to work with.

Thanks. Interesting 👍

Although you’re making me even more jealous now! Pretty sure that the first ones sold didn’t come with half links… but I will check downstairs in storage during the day. I’m having a hard time imagining how half-links would look like with that bracelet design. Mind a photo?

I have to admit that I have no clue why any brand still uses this screwing system (plus the glue). Just make it a single screw with a sufficiently long thread and you’re good. Usually, no need to even use glue with these (You can obviously still do it for peace of mind).

Finally found a can-am.
Wanted to scale down my stopwatch collection a while back. But gorgeous pieces keep popping up and I don’t seem to have the heart to sell any. So much history and value in these pieces and still so cheap.

The half-links are next to the clasp, one on each side from the factory. But I'm currently using only one of them.

Tks. More like a 2/3 link, but good to know nevertheless 👍

I haven’t had time to check yet… Maybe I do have them, but never really paid attention (since it's rather subtle).
Maybe the TH boutique that sized the bracelet for me (because of the glue) only used the normal length links, in which case I’m eager to take one 1/1 out and replace it with two 2/3. That should eventually give me the right fit.

Nice little travel alarm clock. Apparently original and used as a promotional item in the late eighties. And it woke me up this morning.

Congratulations Yago, looks like a beauty! 😎 Seems as we are on the same path again as I've added my 4th stopwatch recently. Can't help myself either, when they just pop up in such nice condition with these gloriously huge dials. This one being a single crown/pusher Yacht-Timer
