Congratulations Yago, looks like a beauty! 馃槑 Seems as we are on the same path again as I've added my 4th stopwatch recently. Can't help myself either, when they just pop up in such nice condition with these gloriously huge dials. This one being a single crown/pusher Yacht-Timer
It's an obsession that gets the better of us.
On last count I'm up to 68 pieces.

For on the wall.

They had this in the Cheshire Oaks outlet IIRC, it was about 拢600, or was it 拢800.... I mean it's very cool, but I don't have anywhere to put it.

Still kinda wish I'd bought it though.
I did consider it..

Picked up another Tag tool to assist with S/EL and other bracelet/strap sizing. Not sure if it has a name or if I鈥檓 using it properly but it does work to hold one side of a two-headed screwbar, as depicted. (Otherwise, it鈥檚 a difficult maneuver requiring two micro screwdrivers and very steady hands.)

That is quite the wide flat head for these tiny screws. Interesting. I'm always afraid of scratching the clasp, so tend to use ones with a head the same size as the screw head. What is the surface material of the parts that would be against the clasp? Do you have the tool for the actual SEL links too? And how much was this tool, , and where did you get it?

and yes, you are using it properly.

It only came with one bit - the extra width isn鈥檛 an issue as the screw head is the furthest protrusion on the bracelet. The top and bottom materials are rubber (nice!)

As I posted here, I did pickup and I鈥檓 pretty happy with the Tag Heuer SEL bracelet tool.

About $30 for the screwbar tool and $90 for the link tool. Both via eBay auctions and both well worth it IMHO.

Not sure how often they come up or prior sold pricing. I鈥檓 thinking they are infrequently available.

I've only seen a few on eBay, and the majority were incomplete (usually missing some or all of the nylon parts. I was fairly lucky and picked up both a complete S/EL link tool & TAG Heuer bracelet pin remover (albeit missing the replaceable pin plungers, which were easily sourced) for about 拢60.

The colourful tool for removing bars with screws on both ends is usually called a hand vice or third hand vice - Bergeon make them under the model 6670 and yes, they're amazingly useful. If you don't have one, a bench-mounted vice to hold the bracelet helps immensely.

Picked up another early-70's Century line for very cheap as it wasn't running. Didn't take long to sort out (fantastic condition 7700 inside with some very old oil residue), and gave it a light polish on the crystal.

Since taking this picture the TAG Heuer 1/5 has been sold, so it's already out of date. Also had a bit a panic moment when setting the time on my pocket chrono as the stem popped right out, but got it sorted.

This is actually at work - we had spare cabinet space, and I just kept adding to it. I've still got a bunch of books, plaques and displays I can't fit!
Nice use of company resources! 馃榿
