Yes!

Haha great then! 😜 I think this Carrera will be out for a while and the design language will continue for several years.
2010 - Calibre 1887.
2015 - JC Biver Carrera.
2020 - Calibre H02.
2025 - ???

I think I’ll give TAG Heuer a tap at the back! 👍 It might not be perfect (depending on who looks & critiques it) but I think as a flagship model, the Carrera is safe and in the right direction 😉

All good sir @Mr_Orange 😁

I’m a big fan of the 39mm Carrera glassbox 👍👍

Am I the only one who likes the text “Heuer02 / 80 Hours” ?? 😲😲

It’s a testament of the Calibre H02 movement and “normal” people will not understand it if they don’t see it 🙄🙄

It doesn't bother me either way. Looks busy with it, empty without it... needs something, but maybe smaller

It's useless. Imagine car manufacturers stating miles to the gallon on the front or back of a car. I don't even like engine specs, always deleted on new cars I bought.

They should have put that on the movement and Swiss Made on the front.

Well if you ask me, I wouldn’t want it either in the first place, but to be honest, since it’s already there and we probably won’t be able to do something about it, I don’t entirely hate it. I think the new Carrera (Sports or Elegant) will still be a good seller for TAG Heuer even with the text on it. So it’s a NOT an issue for me.

People who will read “Heuer02” will not actually understand it, but the “80 Hours” is elementary my dear 😁

Nobody talking about the golden rotor of these Carrera yet ? Yay or Nay ? or prefer the black rotor like before ?

Only thing I genuinely like about it.

I was doing a little photo editing and I think with some minor tweaks, this could have been even more elegant. "Less is More" works here.

I would remove the seconds subdial completely - crosshair AND hand - before I'd remove the text.

If I've got some downtime this weekend, maybe I'll re-download GIMP and try my hand again

Oh, and... change the subdials to white. Replace TAG Heuer with Heuer. Change the crown and pushers.

I think the 44mm bezel version should have had the white subdials, and been called an Autavia.

Would need a rotating bezel possibly

Agreed, but my intention was to show just how easy it would be to create a whole new line of distinct watches by just adding contrasting subdials and a new name - no different engineering needed. Instead we further dilute the Carrera name... modern-day TAG Heuer is really just "Carrera and Some Other Models"

They could have just re-launched the Autavias with the Compressor case!

They could but it would probably look too close to the Sinn 103

True, but I still think it would've been a hit.

If TAG Heuer had done what you suggested, then the Autavia would be a racing watch, a pilot's watch (2019 3-hander), and a diver's watch.

Well, to be fair the compressor Autavias were that, in 1969. (Never 3-handers though.)

Similarities between the new Carrera Sports and the previous Autavias are truly outstanding (esp in panda / reverse panda dial) 👍

The Carrera now carries the design language of both the 60/70s motorsports Carrera & Autavia in distinct models 😎 (probably that was the plan all along) 😲 But the Autavia “recall” name was just ressurected for an entirely different purpose (Air / Pilot / Adventure)
