So cheating obviously pays off for Mercedes. What a shitty weekend.

A few thoughts:
Spectacular win by Lewis.
Max did everything he could, a faultless race.
Great race by Checo, including the fastest lap point.
The Mercs were incredibly fast, huge RB deficit.
Toto was as annoying as always.
The crowd was really sucking up Lewis’ Senna show. He’ll be applying for Brazilian citizenship tomorrow. He might have to explain first why he was wiping off his sweat with the flag before throwing it on the ground. I can’t wait for him to do the same in Saudi Arabia.
The crowd was booing Max for an unknown reason. Yes he fought hard but probably not even as hard as Senna would have fought. He’s the only driver who comes close to Senna’s style. Lewis would have hated to race him. Irony.
Lewis will become WC, that’s all but certain. All Merc needs to do is eat up the engine in highest spec to dominate the rest and replace it a couple more times. The 5 grid penalty, well…
The narrative will be that they overcame misfortune, a faster competitor and bias by the stewards and FIA. Never give up.

I was thinking about this. Could RB not bung a new power unit in max’s car and turn it up to 11 for the last few races?

I suspect this was a calculation by Mercedes’ or do they have to ‘prove’ a new engine is necessary?

Cheating was Max in zig-zag when Hamilton passed, and the Hamilton trying overtake and both going out of the track limits, IMO.

That was just hard racing. As said before the sterile era F1 was a lot more exciting.

I don’t like American stock-car style.

Well thanks to YOUTUBE I found out the result of the race while I have been avoiding finding it out cos it's not on until 11pm here in the UK. Should I bother or should I just go to bed and watch the 5 minute highlights tomorrow. So ******** annoyed about this.

Oh no, you mean Merc will now be 0,5-2 sec faster per lap for the remaining three races? It will be like we are back in previous seasons when Hamilton had the superior car and could just sail by the other cars with no real competition 🙁

Yeah that’s what’ll happen. Long straits and superfast Mercs.

The best thing Max can do then is to take them both out, to keep himself in the lead

It was an exciting race. When I don't want to know the result of something, I stay off the internet completely.

But why is it shown so late in the UK? It was televised live in the US (via Sky Sports UK based), would've been around 5 pm UK time if my time zone math is correct.
