Really? Me find no source
BBC Sport confirms this. He'll start from the back of the grid in sprint following disqualification from qualifying.

You'd think the official formula1.com site would report that kind of thing

Oh nooo, I was hoping he would be disqualified from the grand prix.

He’s lucky this is a sprint race weekend. He’ll be able to gain places today for the race tomorrow.

Yes typical Hamilton. Even when he goes all into cheat mode he still gets lucky

According to the FIA document the stewarts accept that the fault was not by design.

Please explain so I understand. The wing was not designed for cheating so it was sort of ok that they cheated but not really ok? These Mercedes cheat tacticts are so sneaky sneaky

“Owen (Merc chief designer) said that the design was intended to meet regulations and blamed the deflection on "additional play either in the DRS actuator or the pivots at the end, or some combination or other fault with the mechanism, or incorrect assembly of the parts."

The FIA agreed that the same design had passed previous tests and said they were satisfied that the design met the intent of the regulation, stressing there was no indication of "any intent to exceed the maximum dimension either by action or design."”

Now we shall pray that @Yago is right about Bottas wanting Max to win. We don't want Merc to do damage control by launching the Bottas missile bomb in the sprint start

Correct, so he either races like hell today in order to gain more than 5 places or he just lays low.

Pitlane start for Sprint Race? Then another 5-grid drop for Sunday Race?
