·I want him to win the championship more than Max.
I want him to win the championship more than Max.
Just remembering: Hamilton passed Verstappen in the first lap. They were in the same situation in the second chicane, and Hamilton backed off.
Exactly, so why didn't he back off again the second time? Then he could've avoided having Max fly all over him
Max should have checked if Lewis was ok. Top of the car was totalled. Not very nice.
I feel this is a 70-30 fault on Max. He was bummed about the botched pitstop and his temperament got the better of him when he made the move.
Yes, this country sure is wonderful! Except the granade attacks, bombs and European record in public shootings 🙄
How long since you lived here?
Thanks for Halo and Helmet, Hamilton is walking away unscathed! Unfortunately, Max wasn’t given enough space, as they fight inch by inch! What happened to Red Bull pit stop?! 🤬
Happy for Daniel and McLaren! And giving McLaren it’s first win since 2012 😲!!! Lando wanted to challenge Daniel but team orders is status quo 👍
McLaren’s last 1-2 podium was more than a decade ago! (2010 Canadian GP, Hamilton & Button) 📖
I think he wanted Max to cut the corner and then have to give the place back....
Whilst Lewis had the engine running and trying to free the car Max May have made the right choice in staying clear, probably he could hear Lewis swearing as he tried to carry on?
Max had nothing to lose. He is the leader of the World championship by 5 points so taking out Lewis keeps things level.
Damon Hill got it right when he said that it could have been a strategy that Max goes off and takes Lewis with him.
If at some point the Driver Championship changes and Lewis is in the lead Max will not be as happy to do what he did on Sunday.
Yes, Damon Hill knows very well what he is talking about, as Schumacher did it to him in Australia 1994 in order to win his first Title…
I used to like Max, but not anymore. He has crossed the line from aggressive driver to dirty driver... this phrase he said on the radio while he was still parked over Hamilton's head was very revealing... and it implies that he did it on purpose: either you let me pass or I get you out of the race.
Max knew that on this circuit, Hamilton on medium tires and Max on hard tires, if Hamilton came out of that corner first he would be unbeatable.
It's funny that Max complains that Hamilton didn't give him space because: what space did Max leave Hamilton in the other chicane, on the first lap? The difference is that Hamilton wanted to avoid the crash, while Max did not... so a well deserved penalty for Max.
