I want him to win the championship more than Max.
You are clearly very confused, I shall pray for you

Just remembering: Hamilton passed Verstappen in the first lap. They were in the same situation in the second chicane, and Hamilton backed off.
Exactly, so why didn't he back off again the second time? Then he could've avoided having Max fly all over him

Stayed up to watch, and pleased that I did. So great to See Ricciardo get his season back on track, and really happen for McLaren after a pretty rough decade. I'm not sure they could have been any lower than in 2015.

Dan effectively led every lap (other than changeover for pit stops), won the race and got the fastest lap. That's a pretty comprehensive weekend.

I think Lando was hoping he can give McLaren its first win since 2012. Great to see Daniel hasn’t lost his racing mojo 😁

Now Zak owes Dani a NASCAR ::rimshot::

Max should have checked if Lewis was ok. Top of the car was totalled. Not very nice.
I feel this is a 70-30 fault on Max. He was bummed about the botched pitstop and his temperament got the better of him when he made the move.
A relatively slow speed crash, but I don't even want to imagine it without the halo, wow. Max should have checked on Lewis. Seb checking on Lando at Spa showed what a gentleman he is.

Yes, this country sure is wonderful! Except the granade attacks, bombs and European record in public shootings 🙄

How long since you lived here?
20 years... that time has gone fast!

Thanks for Halo and Helmet, Hamilton is walking away unscathed! Unfortunately, Max wasn’t given enough space, as they fight inch by inch! What happened to Red Bull pit stop?! 🤬

Happy for Daniel and McLaren! And giving McLaren it’s first win since 2012 😲!!! Lando wanted to challenge Daniel but team orders is status quo 👍

McLaren’s last 1-2 podium was more than a decade ago! (2010 Canadian GP, Hamilton & Button) 📖

Bruce would be proud!

Whilst Lewis had the engine running and trying to free the car Max May have made the right choice in staying clear, probably he could hear Lewis swearing as he tried to carry on?

Pretty decent analysis. Why did Lewis lure Max into the corner by leaving enough room at first and then pinching him onto the curb? Either the driver is far enough alongside you (which Max wasn't) and you leave room around the corner or he isn't and you cut him off. In this case it seems it was a bit of both. Max went for it of course and halfway down the corner he had no place left to go but on top of Lewis' head.

Two historic tracks (Silverstone & Monza) Both named into famous Heuer Chronographs 👍👍
Two supremely talented drivers (Lewis & Max) Both wore TAG Heuer Chronographs 👍👍
Two clashes in both tracks by both drivers.
Only one will be World Champion ::psy::

Yep. A normal human would have done that. Not Max though. Max had nothing to lose. He is the leader of the World championship by 5 points so taking out Lewis keeps things level.

Damon Hill got it right when he said that it could have been a strategy that Max goes off and takes Lewis with him.

If at some point the Driver Championship changes and Lewis is in the lead Max will not be as happy to do what he did on Sunday.

Lewis was trying to back out while Max was stepping out of his "parked" car. Very unnoticed, but I saw that too. Not to mention active hot lap tires vs. just coming out of the pits

Yes, Damon Hill knows very well what he is talking about, as Schumacher did it to him in Australia 1994 in order to win his first Title…

I used to like Max, but not anymore. He has crossed the line from aggressive driver to dirty driver... this phrase he said on the radio while he was still parked over Hamilton's head was very revealing... and it implies that he did it on purpose: either you let me pass or I get you out of the race.

Max knew that on this circuit, Hamilton on medium tires and Max on hard tires, if Hamilton came out of that corner first he would be unbeatable.

It's funny that Max complains that Hamilton didn't give him space because: what space did Max leave Hamilton in the other chicane, on the first lap? The difference is that Hamilton wanted to avoid the crash, while Max did not... so a well deserved penalty for Max.

Agree 100% with you Albert.
If you look over history Lewis has always been respectful and raced hard but fair. It's only now that Max is a "win at all cost" opponent that we will see these incidents more.

Max and Lewis are becoming just as aggressive as each other because they can't afford to give an inch in a Championship that is so close.

I don’t think the phrase implies he did it on purpose. He merely states what happened. He won’t take the risk to cause a deliberate DNF and a chance of Lewis to continue. That could cost him the WC. The freak swoop from the curve onto Lewis is hardly something you can anticipate.
I wouldn’t call Max a dirty driver at all. This is the first instance in which he’s been deemed predominantly at fault in a very long time. He’s agressive yes, but there’s nothing wrong with that. So far in the season he’s been the most consistent and focused driver of the two.
