Hope Checo gets a seat at either Haas or Alfa Romeo.

But - is Racing Point only competitive this year because it copied Mercedes' 2019 car? Can it continue this competitiveness next year and beyond when it can no longer pull such tricks? I'm not convinced. A Mercedes engine alone is no guarantee of success, as poor Williams has shown. But it will be interesting to see Vettel drive a Mercedes powerplant for the first time 😀 I wonder what colour the car will be, will we see a pink Aston Martin?

Aston Martin is partly owned by Toto Wolff and may continue to supply important valuable Mercedes stuff to the newly rebranded Aston Martin F1.. 😗😗

Yes! It’s the closest we can see Hamilton & Vettel slug it out with “almost” the same package 😜😜

Unfortunately, Bottas can’t race without “party modes” 😲😲

That same Toto Wolff who was publicly solliciting to be Vettel's manager a short while back. Another cookie jar

Unless Ferrari can make a dramatic change and bring out a competitive package next year, the outlook will probably be the same. Everybody and I think even Ferrari is looking forward to the “new F1 regulations” and the only team who isn’t happy is the Mighty Silver Arrows! 🙁

The new regulations has a “Ferrari clause” and “Ferrari prize money” if i’m not mistaken.. 😗 While Mercedes is set to make history with the most dominating period in F1 with 7 consecutive Driver & Manufacturer’s Title! 😲 Never seen before!

I don't know why Vettel is going there to be honest, he isn't going to win any more championships driving a customer car is he? McLaren will probably be the best Merc customer car next year, I would have thought.

The ONLY lingering question I have right now is where does TAG Heuer place itself in all of these 😕😕

Is the contract in Red Bull about to expire? Given that JC Biver has also been in partial retirement..

I think TAG Heuer will stick with Red Bull, we are bad boys not pink boys!

From what I heard, AM do not like TAG sponsoring Porsche in Fe.
Oddly, RP don't seem to have a wristwatch sponsor.

I get your point. Conflict of interests. Oh well. Atleast TAG Heuer has made some nice watches for Aston Martin these years. 👍 Vettel also sported a TAG Heuer watch when he was in Torro Rosso right?

On another topic, Is Zenith entering F1 a viable option? The 3 brand strategy will all be visible in F1 if indeed they enter. LVMH having great publicity if they have Hublot in Ferrari, TAG Heuer in Red Bull and Zenith in a merc powered car 😗😗

I doubt if Zenith have the marketing budget... and I don't really think they want to be in that game tbh.

It’s an out of the box question 😀 I’m not super familiar with Zenith and the only amazing “super power” they have is the appeal of the “el primero” and probably TH’s latest movement in the defy lab! I just thought that F1 is a great instant worldwide publicity to up their game! LVMH controls budgeting of the 3 brands, with TAG Heuer being the cash cow to fund Zenith and Hublot.. right? 😉

Absolutely, LVMH could certainly provide the funds (Mr Arnault snr has more money in his pockets than Vettel has in his bank account), I just don't know what scale Zenith are actually operating at and if it's viable.

Just an interesting question, Rolex sponsors the whole of F1 as it’s global timing partner. But Rolex doesn’t outright sponsor any team or driver. 😕😕 You can see numerous Rolex billboard all over the racetrack but none in drivers wrist. Rolex has specifically sponsored and are title carriers of certain races like Austria, Belgium and Bahrain (except Monaco GP which TAG Heuer sponsors)

The more lasting impact for me IMHO is if you see someone lifts the winning trophy with a certain watch on his wrist 😎
