Just an interesting question, Rolex sponsors the whole of F1 as it’s global timing partner. But Rolex doesn’t outright sponsor any team or driver. 😕😕 You can see numerous Rolex billboard all over the racetrack but none in drivers wrist. Rolex has specifically sponsored and are title carriers of certain races like Austria, Belgium and Bahrain (except Monaco GP which TAG Heuer sponsors)

The more lasting impact for me IMHO is if you see someone lifts the winning trophy with a certain watch on his wrist 😎

You think? I don't think IWC have exactly profited massively from their sponsorship of Merc.

Yes! I think F1 has made an impact on IWC in terms of brand awareness 👍 It has been a strategic partnership with shared heritage and aspirational values. IWC also supplies dash clocks for Mercedes & AMG cars since 2004 even before Mercedes entered as a team in F1 so IWC has been with the mercs right from the start 😉

Maybe, but do you think the man in the street knows what IWC is? Or do they assume it's a marketing consultancy?

IWC is a main brand, so you would hope they put a lot of marketing into awareness. But it's a hard sell and probably always will be. I doubt people understand what TAG stands for, but at least it can be pronounced as a word.

Haha We can only speculate about that man but it is what it is. IWC is a technical partner of Mercedes-AMG and they have dominated F1 for the last seven years! Their racing gloves even have IWC wristwatches for good measure 😉

If you’ve seen Mercedes in F1, it is without doubt, you’d probably see IWC and be curious what it is 😗

Agree. Speaking of TAG, it kinda quirks & annoy me everytime I see someone use “Tag” or “Tag Heuer”. For me, it separates the common fans from the avid & discerning watch / TAG Heuer enthusiasts. Even well known watch websites are at fault with this. And they call themselves enthusiasts! 😵‍💫 TAG is not a word but an acronym so it should always be spelled capital! But can still be pronounced as 1 word 😉

Well I'm probably guilty of using "Tag" instead of "TAG" sometimes. And I'm usually a stickler for good spelling and grammar.

Unfortunately a lot of the "common fans" you refer to can't even string a coherent sentence together these days. And consistently reverse "you're" and "your". (Im fed up of it [sic]). So it's probably expecting a bit too much for them to capitalise properly.

New Ferrari burgundy livery with matching race gear for Scuderia Ferrari @ Mugello this weekend! 👍

I suddenly remembered when Mercedes-AMG had this hype & outfit! With all the celebration & race livery for the 125 Years of Mercedes in Motorsports @ Hockenheimrimg back in 2019 (F1 German GP) It ended up a double spun for Mercedes-AMG! DNF for Bottas and Hamilton finishing only P9 after starting from Pole! 😲

I hope a different fate comes to Ferrari this time. 😉

This looks all wrong

Saw that pic floating a few months back when rumours started to circulate Vettel will switch to Aston Martin F1 Racing (Racing Point) in 2021 after his Ferrari contract reaching an end. 🤔

After the news, photoshop guys started to paste Vettel’s face with 007’s official Aston Martin photoshoot 😲

It seems to be true now 🙄

Quite easy to improve their double DNF in Monza 🤦, but that P9 at Hockenheim would be even a good result for Ferrari at this moment! 😉

Seb actually looks happy! A nice souvenir race suit for him to slip into his luggage when he leaves for Racing Point/Aston Martin 😀

I hope he can still show his remaining true talent and give a nice fight to Mercedes! It seems like Hamilton, Bottas and Max are quite lonely up there with no real fight from the rest! Leclerc is hampered with a noncompetitive Ferrari given their 2020 engine revamp after a "close door negotiation" with the FIA. Both FIA president Jean Todt and F1 Race director Ross Brawn both made their big break with Ferrari right? 😗😗

LeClerc third fastest! WTF?
Ferrari know very well this track 😉, I think this advantage will be diluted during next practice sessions, when the other teams and drivers learn more about the track
