Joining Alfa Romeo is like the “swan song” for Kimi. He knows he won’t win races anymore but he could still enjoy driving. For the love of driving an F1 car. Taking his talents and help setting up the car to the team that entered him to F1 (Sauber) His experience will definitely accelerate the learning curve of the team, engineers, staff etc. I’m happy eventhough he is currently at the back end because I know he had a long illustrious carreer. Having 1 F1 Title with Scuderia Ferrari is enough, something F1 Champions Alonso and Vettel wasn’t able to do. He is a no nonsense guy. Pretty straightforward and talented. I just wish he continues to be part of F1 either as part of a team / owner etc. where we can still continue to see him in the future ahead.

To the coolest (iceman) guy I know in F1 and who was an inspiration in alot of things for me growing up, Formula1, TAG Heuer, Oakley, Ferrari, Toyota, Number 7.
Grazie Kimi! 🥰
Kimi is great, which is why I want to see him winning again! Wonder if he would consider Formula E, or maybe Indycar?

Mercedes front row, enough said, touring cars tomorrow then, no spectators, so live on telly with sound effects live from the circuit in through open doors/windows.

I also like Kimi 👍, and obviously my favorite years are those with McLaren Mercedes 😉, two times runner-up, and just at two points from the Title in 2003

Having watches F1 since 1980, I would love for someone to explain to me the 'track limits' rules.... seems like at Spa you can drive wherever the hell you like. Three or four corners everyone is way over the white line... what is the point?

Not 100% sure, but I think they tend to only apply it where the drivers can gain an advantage. To get a penalty, all 4 wheels need to be outside the white line.

Clearly all 4 wheels are over the line and clearly they can take the corners faster than they otherwise would, and it's the same for everyone - but that's the same for every track ... which is why I don't get why it's okay at Spa but not at Silverstone.

I think Race Direction is only monitorizing some corners from each circuit, and they explain in the Driver’s briefing which corners are under the “track limits” rules and which are “free”... unless they drive -with all 4 wheels- outside the white line to overtake another car, which is forbidden everywhere

Yeah, but why? They used to do this at Magny Cours, every lap they would go over the white line on the exit of the last corner... so they could take the last corner faster. I mean they ALL did it so no one gained an advantage over everyone else - so what's the point of doing it at any corner if its the same for everyone? Just plain stupid, frankly... and Spa is ridiculous. I remember a few years ago Hamilton just hacked through the kerb to get a better speed on the Kemmel straight and no action was taken.

When I was doing my readings 📖 I was thinking next to Monaco, Monza and Silverstone GP circuits, Spa would be next on the most famous racetracks, having a long F1 history at par with Silverstone with ~55 GPs held 😲

Would TAG Heuer think of naming a watch after Spa? 🍿

It’s a legendary race track and has eclipse alot of other Heuer named racetracks models. Just thinking outside the box 👍

Good idea, but don’t forget the most legendary of all race tracks since 1927, with more than 20 km: the “Green Hell”, the Nürburgring (Nordschleife) 🙄

Yes I agree also 👍 Now that especially Nurburgring will have a comeback in Formula 1 this year 😉

I just want to put this in record, Kimi finished as the fastest Ferrari-engine racecar! 😜 As a 4-time winner of Spa, he clearly knows the track even given a lackluster car.

Spa is a power-hungry circuit and obviously all Ferrari powered racecars are at the back-end. 😲

On to Monza! Hopefully a more exciting race! F1’s Temple of Speed! 😎

I still enjoyed it! Gasly escaping Perez squeezing him, Gio and Russell walking away from that heart-in-mouth shunt, Kimi passing Seb on merit (from in-car!), the beautifully organised chaos of the safety car pitstops (double-stacking and how many barely-safe releases?), Lando, Albon, and Ocon so close for 5th, 6th and 7th... all good!

What would Ferrari do?

Develop this terrible engine and car for only late 2020 and 2021 or focus on 2022 new specs?

In the next year maybe they keep missing Q1 and being humiliated on sundays. ‍

Another masterclass by Lewis Hamilton in Spa-Francorchamps, as he did in Barcelona 👍. And the 50th 1-2 finish for Mercedes since they returned as an F1 constructor in 2010! ::psy::

Only the tyres could have been a concern for them, but Max even had the tyres in worst condition, so eveything seemed under control for the black silver arrows

Great race for Ricciardo and Gasly, and it was also very nice to see Kimi overtaking Vettel! 😀 The Ferrari situation is... 🤦

With Lewis leading with more margin now, it’s interesting the fight for the 2nd position between Max and Bottas, and also the fight for the 4th position, with many drivers in few points

For the constructors Title, with Mercedes and Red Bull in a clear 1st and 2nd positions, the close fight is for the 3rd position, with 4 teams in few points, and Renault very close to overtake Ferrari, that would put Ferrari in 6th position 😲

I think I will wear again this watch face for next GP 😉 #LH44

Does Bottas even care?
I think Bottas would enjoy being in a team where he gets more than a one year at a time contract, and where he's the clear no.1 driver. Even if it's a slightly less good team. But Mercedes must be a drug that's hard to kick, even if it's killing him inside a little.
