How a race in the same circuit changes by changing the pressure required by Pirelli for the tyres! 😵‍💫 A change in pressure that has hurt Mercedes much more than other teams, and that has led them to preserve the tyres much worse than today's winner, Red Bull.

Still, Hamilton retains a 30-point advantage over the second-placed (who is now Max instead of Bottas), and Mercedes only loses one point of advantage in the constructors' standings, leading with a 67-point advantage... so It has not been such a bad weekend for the black silver arrows either 😉, and I am also happy for the victory of the TAG Heuer sponsored car 👍... but please, gentlemen of Pirelli, at my home race in Barcelona let the normal pressures go back!! 😁

Don’t worry, the WC is safe. A full second faster in qualy. Nice tyre trick by RB but no more than a footnote in the Mercedes Cup.

Bit surprising to see Lewis struggling so much early on, then managing to fight back to second place. But what I find increasingly bizarre is how Verstappen continues to outperform Albon consistently every race. It's like they were in different teams today. Not too much drama today, but it was an interesting race nonetheless.

I really wish Red Bull would stop messing about and get a second driver who could actually contribute something. Okay I get that they got burned by Webber/Max and Webber/Vettel sometimes, but surely that would be better than one driver constantly massively outperforming the other. They might even have given Merc a run for their money in the WCC.

No, these are pictures from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya press services.
I have been there many years for the F1 GP (as a journalist, and even as a technical scrutineer) since 1991, but since some years it’s really hard (and specially this year because of the virus) to get a press credential, because it’s not decisson from the Circuit anymore but from the FOM 🤔

👍 I think next year Ricciardo will be able to do better races in the Mercedes-powered McLaren! 😉

Yes, the black silver-arrows are looking very strong at the moment 😀 (like in Silverstone2 practices and qualy)... I just hope they don’t have the same tyre problems 😒 during the race!

92th Pole Position for Hamilton securing the first row for the black silver-arrows, P3 for Max, and P4-P5 for the pink Mercedes... It wasn't a bad qualifying session 😉
