·To ensure no one would like them? I have no idea to be honest. These seem to move slowly on the secondary market, the ones I have 'watched' have been available forever
They were also in Bicester forever too. But then, looking at them you can see why. Too big for the Heritage fans, too Heritage for the modern fans. I did like them but not enough to pay the £3000 or whatever they were.

·The illest Carrera is Heuer branded, but it's based on the modern Elegance line. That one I would classify as Modern.

Wow, even longer than I thought...
After seeing the 83/84 catalog pictures, I'm definitely classifying my circa '89 2000 as "vintage". It looks exactly like the '83 two tone silver & gold model, even has the same 964 reference number. Only thing different is my '89 is "TAG Heuer" branded rather than "Heuer", but my store receipt says it's a "Heuer". 😉

I resisted buying one of these on eBay a few hours ago... nice piece!
