Oh... sorry. That must be why I quite like those then. That's a relief, I thought I was going all Heritagey for a moment.

But wait, if they aren't re-issues and they are the size of sometHING Dr Dre would hang around his neck, why do they have Heuer branding?

To ensure no one would like them? I have no idea to be honest. These seem to move slowly on the secondary market, the ones I have 'watched' have been available forever

Which is why I hesitated to just automatically put them in the Heritage category. But I feel they're more Heritage than Modern.

Suppose they should've put a Heuer logo on that one too to please the vintage fans

They were also in Bicester forever too. But then, looking at them you can see why. Too big for the Heritage fans, too Heritage for the modern fans. I did like them but not enough to pay the £3000 or whatever they were.

Yeah strange in between these. I guess they flopped pretty bad, were there not a couple million of these in different colours available in the outlets for a long time? I also remember seeing plenty at heavy discounts in the AD windows here back in the day.

The illest Carrera is Heuer branded, but it's based on the modern Elegance line. That one I would classify as Modern.

    Nicely done!

After seeing the 83/84 catalog pictures, I'm definitely classifying my circa '89 2000 as "vintage". It looks exactly like the '83 two tone silver & gold model, even has the same 964 reference number. Only thing different is my '89 is "TAG Heuer" branded rather than "Heuer", but my store receipt says it's a "Heuer". ;)

I resisted buying one of these on eBay a few hours ago... nice piece!
