Senna certainly wore his Tags proudly and frequently. Any inside info on whether he liked them…or just the handsome sponsorship?! (Bravo for all the pix.)

Thanks @Anthony.R, great find!

This article confirms my hunch that the watch Senna wore in these photos is indeed the prototype that would become the first Senna Edition 6000. Just as I speculated here.

^Note what looks to be a red "S".

However he's wearing it on a bracelet in the above pics, compared to the article's pic showing it on a strap.

Yes, certainly a great find by @Anthony.R 👍, and a great story about this prototype. After reading it, I am still happier to have my 6000 Senna at home 😀.

@Mspeedster , regarding the photo where Ayrton appears with a 6000 on a bracelet and it seems that it has a red S on the dial... perhaps it is an earlier prototype, since the color of the dial seems lighter (almost white) than that of the 6000 Senna prototype in the article, which is very similar to the definitive model.

Yes it might be a different proto, since it's on a bracelet too. But the pic is a bad cell phone photo I took from a book I have on Senna. In the actual photograph in the book, the dial looks a little darker gray, closer to the color of the one in the article.

Senna is still remembered well in Japan. This is a cool tribute at the famous Shibuya "Crossing" in Tokyo.

Can't see the TAG Heuer logo on the windshield - think I have some printable decal sheets somewhere...

Also might have to do something about those rear wheels and the nose profile. It's only about 3/4 of an MP4/4.

Yeah, the slant of the nose certainly isn't right, nor the width of the rear wheels. Nevertheless, I'm still getting one. The TAG Heuer logo is an easy add, I've got some decals from old model kits laying around somewhere.

For sure - going to stop by the boutique tomorrow and pop into the LEGO store while I'm down there to see if they'll be getting them in-store (would rather get one in person than wait for shipping).

I just ordered the box. Lego (EU) does indicate that it will only deliver as of March 1.

Free gift was shipped separately when I ordered the Avengers Tower for my Son in December, so there is a chance this might come first.
