Doesn't look like Max or Checo were present.
Yes, it is strange that the two Red Bull drivers are missing, and even more so considering the Senna/TAG Heuer/Red Bull connection… perhaps it coincided with some other promotional event of their own, but their absence is not nice.

At the Imola tribute, Max was not wearing the yellow Senna shirt that everyone else was. He said it was stolen. Now this time he's not even there, the optics are not good.

Whilst I can see your point about the yellow strap, TAG Heuer probably think that it would reduce sales as is more out there than a more standard blue strap. What they’ve missed is that this is an LE specifically for Senna, so the same people will buy regardless. A yellow strap would be therefore have been fine, albeit needing a redesign of the other areas of the dial, more in line with the other models in this range.
I thought the same as your assessment.

However, they could've easily made a yellow strap (unique for the Senna) and also included the standard black rubber strap, especially at this price point. A black strap would be neutral and not hinder sales; it would allow the Senna/Brazil colors in the dial to standout more. The yellow strap would scream Senna from afar, for extroverts wanting to express their inner Senna. Choosing the color blue for the strap just doesn't make sense to me for a Senna edition.

Oh yeah, at this price point they could (should) include a strap in ALL colours tbh.

Agree… at this price and with that dial (matching yellow, green, and blue straps), this watch should include -at least- three rubber straps (the three colours of Senna’s helmet), and with a quick release system to easily change the straps

True… What excuse will Max give this time? I dislike this guy less and less… I was very happy that -finally!- he was penalized in Mexico for his unsportsmanlike driving. Even his friend Lando said that Max is dangerous

Senna x Puma shoes.

I see that TAG Heuer isn't the only brand opting for blue as the predominant color for a Senna collab. I don't mind the blue on the shoes as much. I can actually see myself wearing these but couldn't if the shoes were yellow. 🤣

Big fan of Puma suedes (collection is now at 10 pair) but the stripe is just too bright for me;

I think you’ve just resolved the lack of yellow strap situation, much as I agree that it could have been cool.

Yes and no. I also think the Puma shoes would look much more "Senna" if done in yellow, with the yellow & blue sections of the shoe reversed. I just don't feel I could pull off wearing bright yellow shoes. But as a big Senna fan, I'd be much more tempted to buy the shoes if they were done in yellow rather than blue.

Same goes for the Senna watch. Except I have no problem wearing a yellow watch, as I already own four. I could easily see myself wearing these in addition to the 4 that I have.

You can pull of whatever you want to pull off. It’s just a state of mind, nothing more. 👍🏽

That’s the problem for some, which makes it a problem for TAG Heuer if they put themselves right out there with using yellow instead of blue, as it is more likely to stop those who don’t believe they can pull it off from buying.

I wouldn’t wear the Kith, but I would certainly wear that Avenger.

True.

But as you correctly pointed out before, the primary target for the watch is Senna's fans, who'd be ok with yellow. If I'm shelling out that kind of money, a yellow strap might've tipped the scales for me to buy one. For someone who just can't wear yellow, it's easy to swap to a black or blue strap because TAG already makes them. They don't make a yellow (or green) for the Extreme Sport. As @Albert-AMG said, the watch should've come with all 3 colored straps representing Senna's helmet.

I'd also add black to the straps list, because the lower stripe on his helmet was very close to black depending on the season.

Do you guys remember when Wei interviewed Julien Tornare and he said about the 'Senna' watch - we are taking care of it.

I can't actually believe that I thought maybe they were going to do something cool, like a new Link or something. Jeez. I bet he's glad he didn't stick around for the launch of this crap.

That’s what I was suggesting here btw @Mspeedster, in the post above Albert’s.

My point with the lack of yellow strap was that TAG Heuer won’t risk that when they only include one strap with this watch. They just won’t, hence they didn’t.

We’re on the same page with it being a shame though, as was dead easy to make it more special by including an additional strap that you can’t buy separately.

I just feel it's another example of TAG not knowing or reading their intended audience well. True fans of the OG F1 do not want KITH on it. True fans of Senna do not relate to Blue as his primary color. I'd be happier if the strap was simply black.

The only time I think of Blue was when Senna raced for Rothmans Williams. Which ended tragically after only 3 races, so I don't want something on my wrist to remind me of that.

I agree, but then people still buy them I guess. That’s where the problem perpetuates.
