Not bad. I think the blue + yellow + open faced dial combination seems tonbe the winner here. First the X-Men Monaco and now the Senna

Nice live shots from Monochrome. https://monochrome-watches.com/tag-...tion-2024-carrera-extreme-review-specs-price/

In this last pic the checkered flag design can clearly be seen, which I think is a nice callback to the first Senna Edition 6000. But I do wish they had used a Yellow rubber strap, as that would've really made it look more like Senna's helmet, given the green and blue timing rings on the dial. Regardless, the $38K USD price makes this watch a nonstarter for me.

I would've much preferred to see a S/EL S25.706C reissue or reimagined modern tribute, at a reasonable price that more of Senna's fans could afford. Ironically, the TAG website features them side by side.

I actually get more Senna color vibes from this pair of F1s. My favorite duo. 😁🏁

Well that dollar sign on the subdial is there for a reason.
It’s not the dollar sign but the Senna logo

Absolutely. It is the Senna watch after all, with this logo being standard.

I just think the yellow hand running through the middle makes it look like a dollar sign.

Yours for just £33,000...
Expensive but it looks proper cool! Dang, these days it feels like entry level tourbillion is TAG Heuer's primary market, with tourbillions released left and right

Can someone please explain the £10k premium over the standard titanium one and the £5000 premium over the rose gold one.

Probably because it's a LE.

Some pics from my try on.
I really feel the strap should've been yellow. I just don't associate blue with Senna's helmet, or with Senna in general. If they were mimicking his Nacional cap, blue could work, but then the dial colors would be wrong.

Whilst I can see your point about the yellow strap, TAG Heuer probably think that it would reduce sales as is more out there than a more standard blue strap. What they’ve missed is that this is an LE specifically for Senna, so the same people will buy regardless. A yellow strap would be therefore have been fine, albeit needing a redesign of the other areas of the dial, more in line with the other models in this range.

I like it overall, but hate the continual habit of cutting into the chapter ring in order to squeeze the tourbillon in. Always spoils these designs. Same applies with chronographs where they do the same.

500 isn't even that limited though... and the premium over the standard model is unreasonable. Yes there's a carbon bezel... and they have to the Senna foundation. But come on...

I agree it's seriously overpriced.

A fair price to me over the standard model would be about £26,000... maybe £27,000.
