Yeah, I don't get why TH are picking out blue as the main colour on this watch. Of the three colours on Senna's helmet, blue is the least important or memorable.

It's not even the correct shade of blue. The blue stripe on his helmet is very dark and during some seasons it really looks black to me.

If anyone actually wants to buy this watch they might want to try buying it from Japan, seeing as it's 'only' £28,600 there...

Bonkers price discrepancy there!

Tax related or sheer unfair pricing?

The JPY price equates to $37K USD. That's only a $900 discount from the USD retail of $37,900. Even the US price is a bargain for UK shoppers, as $37.9K works out to £29.3K with today's exchange rate.

The Pound must be strengthening, or the Yen & Dollar have weakened. (Or TAG believes UK buyers are willing to pay more. 🤪)

A behind the scenes look at Netflix Senna. Can't wait for this series. But it's too bad Gabriel Leone doesn't look more like Senna.

That’s because his Senna Tourbillon has a blue strap. Now…with a yellow strap…😊

Do you guys remember when Wei interviewed Julien Tornare and he said about the 'Senna' watch - we are taking care of it.

I can't actually believe that I thought maybe they were going to do something cool, like a new Link or something. Jeez. I bet he's glad he didn't stick around for the launch of this crap.
I know, right!!? What a huge missed opportunity for TAG! ::facepalm1::

Only TAG Heuer (and to a lesser degree Seiko and Casio) can reissue or reimagine the watches that Senna actually wore during his F1 career. But instead, we get this wrong colored tribute watch at an insane price point. 😖

Furthermore, TAG's effort falls short compared to what Hublot did in 2010 (IMHO). I'm no fan of Hublot, but I feel they did a much better job of creating something special for Senna fans with their King Power Ayrton Senna release. Similar to how TAG released this Senna Carrera Extreme Tourbillon to coincide with the Netflix Senna series, the Hublot was unveiled at the 2010 Sao Paulo Brazilian GP for the launch of the 2010 Senna documentary movie.

The Hublot King Power Tourbillon x Senna was limited to only 10, each with a unique case back depicting Senna during a different stage in his career. I believe it even came with a Senna helmet case. How cool is that!!! 😎

In addition to the very exclusive Tourbillon, Hublot also released a Chronograph version limited 500.

These came with proper yellow croc straps, befitting of a true Senna tribute watch. It seems a black & yellow stitch and white & red stitch were also included as optional straps. Again, something TAG should've done.

If I'm not mistaken, this was released while Biver was at the helm of Hublot. Yet another example of something Biver got right.

Or possibly the UK price includes VAT, but sales tax is always separate in the US.
