This interview of Ayrton & Alain was done at the last race of '88 in Australia, just after Senna won the championship in Japan.

Ayrton seems to be wearing the same watch as in the Christmas TV program with Xuxa, which was also in '88. Here it looks goldish in color and perhaps slightly different from the watch worn during his Karting years. But still not clear enough to make any kind of positive ID.

No, not possible. The original Heuer Monacos of the 70s were a different kind of square shape. Also, they were not offered in gold or gold plating and were discontinued in the mid-late 70s.

TAG Heuer would not reissue the modern Monaco until several years after Senna's death.

The picture is still not a clear enough close up of the watch and it's not in color. I've seen other pictures too, like this one circa 1981. But it's not good enough either.

Hard to make any progress without a better picture that gives a clear close up of the watch.

But I think the Seiko 7016-5020 is a less likely candidate, because I can't see pushers on the one worn by Senna when watching the videos or in other pics.
