I'm also curious, what area of Japan?

I would often visit Nakano (close to Shinjuku) for second hand hobby stuff, including watches.

Hi MS, Sorry I just realised I left you unanswered.
I picked the bracelet up at a pawn shop in Shimbashi.
I am in Japan at the moment and went to Nakano today to have a look around. Prices are very good there at the moment with the weak Yen.
They have a Blue Bamford Monaco there which I am keen on, just lacking some funds at the moment. I missed out on a 160 Year Silverstone last year at a great price. I am kicking myself for not buying it.
The hunt for one of those in blue continues.

While in Japan at the moment, picked myself up some of these Gulf branded Sneakers to go with the watches.
Great Motorbike shop in Tokyo selling a heap of Gulf branded gear and other retro/trendy bike orientated products.

I've been to the Motorimoda store in Ginza, close to Shimbashi station. They have motorsports and auto related stuff too, in addition to their motorbike goods. I got my Gulf driving gloves from there, many years ago. The gloves have the Motorimoda logo on the palms.

Saw the same driving gloves this time and was tempted.
Not sure how long ago it was when you last went to Motorimoda but they have moved a bit further away from Shimbashi that before. Maybe another 10-15 mins walk towards Tsukiji market.
Sounds like you travel to Japan quite often.
If we are ever there at the same time would be good to meet up.
Maybe we could coax @Snowy out of Nagoya to meet up in Tokyo.

Watches of Switzerland closes TAG Heuer monobrand boutique in Berlin after only one year (I'll let you use the online translation app of your choice…)

https://blickpunktjuwelier.de/tag-heuer-watches-of-switzerland-schliesst-boutique-in-berlin/

Interesting (at least for me…) because:
- I wasn’t even aware that WoS was present in Germany
- Surprised by the lack of stamina from LVMH (or maybe the franchise will go to Wempe etc.)
- Just goes to prove again what an utterly awful city Germany feels obliged to use as a capital… 😗

Note that Google Maps reviews for the store team were excellent. So that wasn’t it…

Whoa this is some major news if correct

Watches of Switzerland has decided to immediately withdraw all activities from Europe. One of the consequences is the closure of the TAG Heuer Franchise Monobrand Berlin at the end of July 2024.

Sweden's first and only, still quite new TAG boutique is also operated by WoS so I guess this means goodbye from them too LOL. Not surprising though, they told me sales are the worst and super slow.

How humiliating for them to have to try and get the ADs to take the watches again.

The 2024-2025 catalogue (left)

Hardcover, bigger (with similar number of pages), and better quality 👍 than the softcover 2023-2024 catalogue (right)

There is no Autavia range… so still in the website, but no more in the Catalogue (it is in the 2023-2024 edition)

Some pages of the 2024-2025 catalogue, including eyewear, and one page specially for @Mspeedster 😉:

I wonder how many pairs of those shades they've actually sold? At those prices and when it makes you look like this...
