·Got a better condition copy of the 150 Years book (black cover gets damaged so easily - sold the last one a while back) at a very reasonable price, along with the colour-cover version of The Unforgettable Steve McQueen - will post pics of both when they've arrived.

My 150 years of TH lives in a pillowcase for exactly that reason. Plus it's way too tall for any bookshelf.

I have a copy fully wrapped and never opened. Still in the plastic and covered in a cardboard box.

Much better idea to keep it sealed and get a second copy you don't mind handling.
My second one arrived today, and given the price (£60 shipped) it's remarkably good condition. First one I bought was much worse (see a few pages back on this thread), but made profit on the resale (enough that the new one is effectively "free").
Just waiting for this now:
Also keeping my eye open for another copy of the Autavia - Story of an Icon book - had two so far, both re-sold.

Can you remember how long ago that was? I've not seen any new-new ones, only "it's still sealed, it's new" where the shrinkwrap has obviously suffered minor damage, which will (given the material of the surface, and the poor protective quality shrinkwrap) have affected the cover - like this one:

·Mmm, to be honest I can't remember how the shrink wrap was.. they would all have been made at the same time I would have thought (2010). And I couldn't tell you what it looked like cos it's been in the pillowcase for the last 18 months... (how pointless is that?)

I suppose it's about the same as buying a watch without intending to wear it - nothing inherently wrong with that, since you want to keep it mint to appreciate in value or you want to preserve it for your collection.

I suppose, but what is the point? It's annoying that they made it out of something which is so easily damaged....
