Another 2 or 3 laps would have been very interesting. Lando "might" have made it - but he was certainly struggling for the last 8 laps or so - driving very rapidly yes, but right on the ragged edge - he fell back through very small errors a couple of times.
Happy to see Charles finally break his unlucky streak at Monaco. This season just got a whole lot more interesting. If Ferrari and McLaren can keep their current form, both Charles & Lando could seriously challenge Max for the title.
Glad I waited for the ‘highlights’ show, crash about the only bit of interest, shows how well these cars are built.
One interesting thing about the Perez/Magnussion/Hulkenburg debacle-a-trois is that no-one I saw seemed to notice that Magnusson hit the barrier first - before his tyre hit Perez's.
There was a flash of sparks from Magnusson's right rear just before the impact with Perez. it could be that he was "bounced" into Perez by that impact.
Obviously Magnussen didn't have anywhere to go at that point anyway (well - apart from backwards (ie braking hard)), but it was interesting that the first impact was actually with the barrier rather than Perez's car. Not to defend him much, but he did at least do what he could to avoid Perez as long as possible.
Changes coming in’26, aerodynamic-chassis width-tyre size and engines, 50/50 fake fuel and electric. There may be more but to be honest the cars need to shrink 20%? simplify aero and ditch DRS, for a starter.
Can anyone explain to me why Red Bull would give Perez a new two year deal mid season? Other than, they need Mexican sponsor money to pay Verstappen $50M a year...
