Maybe it’s a matter of weight. Black (carbon fiber) is the natural colour of the car, so it requires less weight of paint than making it full silver, and current F1 cars are very close or above the minimum authorized weight. I love it, better than last year’s livery

Probably the most striking of the bunch. That said, I don't find any of them particularly memorable. They need to hire better designers!
