路Yes, I agree the finishing should be better for the price... but we've seen other watches with rough finishing on the backs of the hands in Watchfinder videos. I tried on a Hublot once and I thought it was very nice and I certainly didn't notice any quality issues. Granted I only tried it on for a few minutes in a boutique. I don't know... it's not like I am a Hublot 'fan', but to me it's almost like Hublot have become the new TAG and someone like that who is a TOTAL self confessed Rolex/Tudor fan boy purporting to look at Hublot objectively.... well, I can't take it seriously.
Especially as he totally misses the point re 'value' in watches.
Hublot is kind of 'next level' TAG Heuer, in that they use modern materials and design and I can't help but think that a lot of the reason they get so much 'hate' from the 'retrocentric' watch community is that they don't like the fact that these watches don't fit into their idea of what a watch that costs 拢10,000 should look like.
At the end of the day, if people weren't willing to pay Hublot's prices they would either have to reduce them or go bust. So clearly the 'market value' of a Hublot is somewhere near where it is. If that's because non watch nerds want to pay the prices, well how is that different to Rolex?
