Can't wait for it! Only downside is I will have to wear my only Red Bull shirt on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 🙄 missus won't be pleased!

I try to keep expectations down to be honest. Lets see what happens and if its a good format. Very excited for the weekend though, will be great to see if there will be more of a closer battle between Max and Lewis this time!

I can't help thinking either it will be a waste of time with the result being largely the same as qualifying, or... it will be tremendously dramatic and race ruining. Like if say Max or Lewis gets punted at the first corner and has to start at the back.

Yes I too am worried that some of the race maniacs like Leclerc will do his usual crashing mania and ruin Sunday for multiple drivers

Interesting, so all qualifying is done on the soft tyre and the drivers can start the GP on whatever tyre they like.

Yup. Being able to start on whatever tyre you want is a nice thing I am positive to in general.

From what I've read and seen it is not cause of waning viewers. Its because they want to continue expanding. Expanding means trying to attract the adhd viewers who got interested after watching the kind of false marketing and misleading drive to survive (which gives the impression that F1 is like a Michael Bay film). People who get bored if nothing happens all the time and want to "fix F1" as soon as there is a "boring race". Doesn't help that clickbait "journalists" help push such narratives in the media constantly.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the clutches in the race, the ones that are only supposed to be designed to do 300 miles... since they now have to do qualifying, second practice, the sprint race and the race on 1 clutch.
