Yes!! 😀 Although the points are given tomorrow (and I hope to continue being happy!), this Pole Position has been very special and rewarding because of the difficult track conditions and huge advantage! 👍
Uh oh. The massive salary and decision-making control he'll demand will be the end of the Renault team! Just like it was nearly the end of McLaren! Renault as an organisation is losing its last customer team in McLaren next year too.
Totally agree. He's a wonderful driver, but has a hugely negative impact out of the car
Lewis Hamilton is truly a masterclass in the wet and in the rain. Same as Michael Schumacher. Same as Ayrton Senna. Uncanny talent of highly gifted F1 Champions!
Same as Verstappen. He’s demonstrated his magic in the rain on a few occasions, not in the least during the 2016 Brazilian GP. He lucked out during qualy.
😀 Another 1-2 for the Black Silver Arrows, this time not spoiled by unfair penalties as in the previous race
Mercedes-AMG is now leading 1-2 both Championship standings, so it was not a bad start of the season in Red Bull Ring for them 😉, and also for McLaren, specially Lando! 👍
So nice to finally see the resurgence of McLaren. Also hoping Lewis can get a 7th world title. Had to laugh at what happened to Ferrari, although I wouldn't want to see them down the field for too long.
Great Race! Congratulations to Mercedes! (and to sir @Albert-AMG in particular 😉) Mercedes really showing they are a truly well-oiled dream team machine!
Congrats to McLaren! Super lap finish again by Norris and Sainz taking this time the Fastest Lap 👍 McLaren has found its mojo already 😁
Too bad for Ferrari’s DOUBLE DNF.. They weren’t able to test their new “upgrade” package during the race. They are well below the Top3 F1 teams already..😵💫
Red Bull really just can’t match the pace of Mercedes on their homecourt. Speaking of Mercedes pace, Racing Point was really strong during the race, Shockingly strong 😲😲 so Renault did something 🙄

Yawn. Just when I thought that F1 was possibly getting interesting again and worth watching.....
Exactly, glad I taped and watched FF. Another sterile race and win. As it looks now also another year added to the boring age of F1 under Mercedes and Hamilton. And no hope of a turnaround next year.
So if Mercedes gets a 1-2 on the track and Hamilton is unfairly penalized by making him fall off the podium, it’s a good race... but another 1-2 for Mercedes, this time without unfair penalties, is a boring and sterile race (despite Bottas battle with Max, despite the great comebacks of Norris and Pérez)... curious 😁
At least Mercedes drivers can fight each other, and in fact Bottas is the current championship leader! Boredom was the soporific years of Ferrari dominance with Schumacher, when his teammates were contractually forbidden to stay ahead of him! That was boring and unsportsmanlike! 😉
At the moment Mercedes have made the best car, the best teamwork, and once at Ferrari were forced by the FIA to dismantle the trickery that they had in the engine for much of last season, it seems they are no longer competitive... it only remains to congratulate Mercedes for continuing to be the best, at least in these first two races of the year. We will see how the Red Bull are doing in Hungary, because it is a very different track
Not taking anything away from Hamilton, but on Saturday Steve Jones and the Channel 4 crew really were craning their necks to get their heads up Hamilton's backside.
I don't think a 1.2 second lead over the second place driver (who span on his last lap let's not forget) is unprecedented. Pretty sure Senna outqualified Prost by 2 seconds back in the 80s! But Channel 4's mission is to 'hyperbole' Hamilton to death. It's no wonder he's not particularly well liked in the UK, as a nation we are quite reserved and we don't appreciate having it rammed down our throats that Hamilton is the best in the world ever ever ever ever ever.
At least Christian Horner calmed it down... after Jones had waffled on for what seemed like hours about how Hamilton's lap was the best thing in the world ever, Horner simply said that while Max wouldn't have got pole, if he'd finished his lap he would have been within 3-4 tenths. Not that Jones wants to hear that. After all what does he know, he's married to a Spice Girl for God's sake!
Really, Coulthard should step up and slap Jones down when he goes off on one, he knows better - but I guess he's on the CH4 'British drivers are the best no matter what' gravy train too. I'd love to hear Jones actually commentate on a race, no doubt he'd be praising George Russell even as he was driving through the gravel. Imagine if we had a Hamilton, Norris, Russell podium... his head would explode.
This whole situation with Vettel is bizarre. A 4x WDC who nobody seems to want... maybe it was the car all along, or maybe it was just that that particular era of F1 suited him and this era doesn't?
Rob @Aquagraph , the same thing happens with the Spanish commentators, praising Alonso and Sainz disproportionately... at least Hamilton has six Titles, and with options to win the seventh, so the praises are more justified 😉

Yes, I'm sure it does happen in other countries but it doesn't stop it being tiresome in the extreme. At least the public had the good sense to vote Perez driver of the day!
