Purchase a Seiko 5?

I really think that's a very underrated watch. A mate bought one (for about £50) when he was in college in the late 90s. Wore it everyday until about 3 years ago when it finally stopped keeping good time, never had it serviced. So he bought another one for about £70. They are both nice watches.

My friend has one (which I bought him actually). It's funny how good these 'cheap' autos can be, like the Pagani Aquaracer which keeps COSC time!

Thanks @Aquagraph and @Hubert! I somehow missed that teal Carrera. These glassbox Carreras are like football cards aren’t they 😁
Agree with you on the Bove lugs but I’m afraid that ship has sailed. The glassbox case is better but needs improving as well. I won’t hesitate if an SN comes out though 😉

The overall thickness is the biggest negative for me. I want them to make a manual wind H02 SN with a slimmer case.

I hope someday Tag Heuer release Solar Powered movement. Cartier already did. Gshock and Seiko are way ahead.
Won’t work in Scotland, my solar powered garden lights fail regularly outside summer (June and (maybe) July), wind powered might be ok.

If it was better proportioned, I can easily forgive the thickness to accommodate the H02 movement. But it there was a revival of the original C11 / C12 movements, of course that would be fantastic.

That would be great! The Monaco is also too thick for my liking, but I live with it because it's such an awesome watch in just about every other way. The reason I never bought the heritage H02 Autavia is because I just couldn't get past its thickness, even though it's a superb looking watch from above. The Carrera's thickness isn't as bad in comparison, but I still wish it was thinner.

And so the WOTY voting has closed and there is indeed a clear winner, so no need for a second vote. Thanks everyone.

Mince pie, it's like pastry with a sweet 'mincemeat' filling, which isn't actually mince at all but a selection of dried fruit and spices.

Off to get more popcorn, and a proper ‘mince’ pie, known here as a Scotch pie, filled with minced mutton. Back on the 27th to get the result, oooh, the suspense.

I used to date a girl who believed she was Scottish.... so I know of these Scotch Pies. Not bad actually...
