OK, I think I understand where you're coming from now. Using the same type of voting method used in the Autavia Cup as a way to whittle down all the '00 and '10 watches.

That would only take a couple of years...

Yes, it just shows... the public at large is a bit clueless. Guess that's why everyone thinks TAG are making a mess of everything while they continue to sell hundreds of thousands of watches to idiots...

Just to clarify, it’s not 3% of the Switch watch market population. It’s 3% of the total revenues of the Switch watch market ;)

Okay, so I've started work on compiling a list of watches from 2016-2019, so you can expect a message from me in the not to distant future...

A lot of great releases in those years. The Ronnie Peterson Carrera and the Monaco Gulf "50th Anniversary of Le Mans 1st Win" are two standouts for me.

Yep, not forgetting the Bella Hadid Link, which of course I'm sure you were also going to mention.

Price is directly related to demand though. Maybe TAG know they've been pushing their prices a bit far in the last few years.

Or maybe I did the price list a few weeks too early?

Tomorrow we have the First Impressions / COCO reviews for the Autavia Flybacks and GMT. Seems like I've been writing that one for days...

Nice, I look forward to reading the appraisals for the silver dialed flyback. That dial is seriously sexy

    Morning everyone...

I just wanted to explain what happened with the 2016 rating thing and why the link has been disabled. But I couldn't be bothered to do it in 5 separate messages so I thought I'd do it here.

I didn't think anyone really wanted to rate every single watch in every single colour and slight variation and all the ladies watches from 2016, plus since the blog wasn't up and running from the start of that year it was not like I had easy access to a list of what came out - so, I tried (and failed it seems) to just find the highlights of the year for you to make it easy for everyone.

Unfortunately, I missed out a few watches high profile watches which meant Imagwai and Pitfitter's votes were rendered pointless (apologies to you guys) which is something that I was concerned about before we started.

I wasn't going to ask you guys to pick a WOTY, but then I changed my mind at the last minute, which was silly, because if you take that out of the equation then missing things out could have been rectified later by further voting on scores.

For what it's worth I am 100% confident that the Monza 40th Anniversary would have been 2016 WOTY.

In hindsight what I should have done was start with 2019, because I know my blog covered *everything* in 2019. So my question to you guys now is do you want me to do just 2019, with as many watches as I can find? And then maybe see about doing 2018 later on? Or do you want me to forget it altogether?

I'd rather just go forward with 2022 and beyond.

The past is the past, it seems anti-climatic to go backwards and vote on previous years. Especially if just doing a few years, I don't see the point.

That's just my 2 cents worth of feedback.

You sent us a nice selection of 2016 watches, but for sure my 2016 WOTY vote was going to be for the Monza 40th Anniversary :)

I think it was a good idea that, according to your criteria (because you are the organizer and you can act as first jury), you made a selection of the most outstanding watches of each year (just like there are films that are candidates for the Oscars, and they are not all that have been released that year), and then COCO vote and choose only among those chosen few... but if you think that, due to lack of data from 2016, you cannot be sure of forgetting some important candidate and therefore the results would be unreliable, perhaps it is better that you do not burden yourself with so much work and leave it be, or that you start from the year in which you are sure that no favorites are left out

Cant the COCO members nominate the watches they want to include

Im up for doing it from 2019 instead and voting for all watches. We just need to do it in a clever format.
