New teaser trailer for the Netflix Senna series
A very difficult challenge for the actor... Ayrton's charisma and expressiveness, his deep and almost mystical gaze... it is not only a matter of physical resemblance. OTH the action images are well shot and looks like quality filmmaking.

I agree with you. I thought the actors in Rush did a good job of portraying Lauda & Hunt. That'll be a tough act to follow, I'll wait until the Senna series streams to pass judgement on how well the characters of Senna & Prost are brought to life.

Gabriel Leone, of Netflix's Senna, attended the KITH-Heuer F1 launch. This tells me we can expect to see TAG Heuer in the Senna series. 😀

Welcome to the forum! Great to have another Senna fan!

I've not seen those pics before, I don't believe any are TAG Heuers. One looks like a Monaco but can't be. It's not a vintage Heuer model and the reissue was after Senna's passing. I'll start digging and see if I can help to ID these.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your Senna watch collection! 👍

Actually, I have identified the watch in the top photo before, where he's seated next to Prost. It's a Casio DBT-70W 662 Databank Timetable. He wore it during much of the '88 season.

My apology if this image has already been posted and discussed here, but I did a quick search and couldn't find it, so let me add it now.

Here we see Senna at the Japanese Grand Prix (Suzuka, October 20, 1991), just after he clinched the 1991 Driver's Championship. It seems that Senna actually wore the 472.513 Formula 1 chronograph while he drove, but perhaps others here can confirm or correct this suggestion. I have seen other photos of Senna wearing this watch during the GP weekend, but this one may suggest that he wore the watch during the race.

What a great photo!!

Jeff

Yes, I posted about it here, but there were many other watches too, so easy to miss: https://tagheuerforums.com/threads/...euer-appreciation-thread.155112/#post-2116713

I also included it in my May 1st Instagram post, covering the watches Senna wore 1984-1994.

This picture shows the dial better, I also believe it's ref 472.513.

It's a kind of special watch in the sense that Senna wore it when he won his 3rd and final championship at Suzuka. He was leading the race, but slowed to allow Berger to pass. Gifting him the win in appreciation for Berger's support.

Yes, I have seen several photos of Senna wearing the Formula 1 (Ref 472.513) during the 1991 Suzuka race weekend, but it's the champagne photos that come closest to suggesting that he wore the watch while he drove the race.

Here's another photo from the weekend, showing the watch very clearly.

If only we had Senna's face in this photo!!

Senna wore all his watches while driving. Unlike today when the drivers are given the watch to wear on the podium, but don't during the race.

Here's another shot on the podium at Suzuka.

The very first TAG Heuer Senna wore in a race was the 2000 Chrono ref 165.806, at the opening race in Brazil '89.

There are many pictures of Senna wearing watches in his cockpit getting ready to drive, here are two from his Lotus days and two from McLaren. Lots more that show he wore his watches while driving.
