The jackets are really great. I've not seen them for a while, there was a white fabric jacket as well as cream, tan and black leather jackets. Earlier leather jackets had distressing on the seems, but the later ones I saw (in the US) did not. Only the fabric jacket featured the Gulf logo.

The leather is outstanding quality and the cut is beautiful. It was a LOT to pay for a single item of clothing, but happily the price is not for the sake of gimmick or branding, it's superb quality and looks killer. Mine still looks brand new six years later and still smells gorgeously of leather. It's my favourite jacket and gives me an incentive to stay in shape - so that I can continue to fit into it!

Made by Dakota (although the salesman in the boutique said it was made by Versace!), don't be tempted by the many cheapo lookalikes online 😀
I have several of the fabric jackets and canvas bags in various colors. It's a shame they stopped making them. 🙁

I really want one of the leather jackets. I remember on a track night with Porsche years ago the GM for Tag Heuer eyewear was presenting about glasses for night driving and was wearing the brown leather jacket with Heuer branding and I knew then I wanted one. Just never got round to buying it before they stopped selling them.

Last time I was at the Opticians I was stunned by how procey the Tag branded frames were. They look great, but back then at least I balled at the price. Cheaper than watch collecting though 😁

The guy provided 5 sets of those glasses for us to try and then afterwards the club committee got to keep them......bar stewards.

I only got the ones made out of canvas fabric. Never got the leather. 🙁

Been wanting one of these for ages. Didn't come with that cool visor unfortunately.
Just need to sort out my Vespa and a sunny day in the back streets of Florence.

I was once tempted to get one of these, but I was told importing from Europe could be complicated, since those are not DOT compliant. Did you buy from offshore?

Hi Hubert, I did see back in previous posts on this thread that you had looked at getting one.
There is a message inside the helmet that the helmet should not be used on the roads in the US.
Not sure what US customs are like but my feeling is if it was imported as a display item it may get through.
I bought this from an online auction in Japan and had a friend carry it back to NZ for me.
The original retailer in Japan has sold out and I think these are only available on the second hand market.
I did managed to order the visor from the original helmet manufacturer " Airborn" reseller today though. http://rextex.de/index.php?k=76&lang=eng

If you wanted, I could keep an eye out for another as I have seen one or two over time for sale in Japan.
Don't know how I would get it to you but we could work that out if it ever eventuated. 😀

I got one of those when I went to the factory.... and oddly enough they have one in the window at Cheshire Oaks - I don't think it's for sale though...

If you google ‘moleskine tag heuer’ there are quite a few variants. Some look legit - not sure about all, but there are quite a few varieties of similar king of notebook that pop up. I like Moleskine journals, added bonus to have a TH connection.

A Heuer 1614 with the Champion spark plugs logo is another one I NEED in my life 😲

Them together with my 13-1 Koni would be my automotive collection dream.
