I stumbled across the following Camaro 73345 NT on C24 and thought I’d post it „just for the fun of it” (no real authenticity interrogation here, I guess…):

Bit of a shame about the hands, really, as otherwise the watch looks nice (?) - or maybe @SteveP will enlighten us that this is actually an ultra-rare variant and authentic 😉
https://www.heuercamaro.com/models/73345-gold-plated

For what it’s worth: The seller claims the piece to be “mint/unworn” (but without B&P)…

Hi, not sure how I missed this post but if you see the 'Empty Cases' section on the link you showed-
73345 (gold-plated) (heuercamaro.com)

This very much falls into that category sadly. A correct example is at the bottom of the page too.
'For what it's worth'.............nothing whatsoever!

Steve

The case looks beautiful. I’m surprised how neatly they made the Valjoux (?) fit in there…

Any thoughts on the authenticity of this watch? My main concern is that the lume (tritium) does not hold any light, and the spacing on "Silverstone" is too close and not as crisp as some. Photos one and two of the watch, photo three for reference found on line. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum @SebasSF. Here's a shot of mine. With spacing between the STone. A bigger concern is the "airplane" second hand, it looks more like a cross in your picture. And lume is fleeting or non-existent on these 50 year olds, much like meself. But I am no expert.

I didn’t want to let this one go unnoticed…

One of the least expensive Carrera 1153 on C24. But what is it with that caseback? 👎

Hard to tell, but from the first photo it looks like the case is overly polished as well.

Thanks for the info and pic HoltzPlatz! Great looking example. Good point on the second hand. One other thing I notice is that the Heuer logo points slightly to the right of the R in Silverstone with the questionable one pointing more to the center of the R.
I actually purchased the watch in the photo on eBay but was thankfully able to return it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/125307264086
Interestingly, I found a second one for sale from a reputable dealer in London. This one looks like it has the same dial issues with font and lume. I see a couple other issues with this watch- it has a Heuer crest on the crown and there is no model designation engraved on the case back. Seller also states:
"This variation has a 7750 automatic movement. They were one of the first to have nylon parts within the movement. They are known to have issues with the nylon parts decaying.
This has a fully serviced correct Heuer micro rotored movement. Fully fit and ready for wearing
The dial is known as a service dial as in was replaced when serviced by Heuer. They come without lume. This lume can be added by a watchmaker if you so wish". Photos below.

You have certainly done your due diligence here Sebas. Sorry I can't answer all the questions you raise. This is exactly the situation where we all miss DC's respected Cal. 11 Heuer knowledge bank.
These used to be quite available and I can't explain why there are none for sale right now for me to recommend.
As for me, my Silverstone has a caseback stamp and an unsigned crown, along with a slinky NSA bracelet.

Mark, you are lucky to have a genuine one! If any forum members have one for sale or know or one- please message me.
Regarding the Dealer example- I'm sure it's not a legitimate (does not even have the "automatic" script above the date) one and have a hard time buying into the idea of a "service dial" from Heuer that had sloppy font and no lume. Interestingly, the Silverstone writing on the ones I presume to be fake are very close to the "original" Silverstones.

Came across this post for a "Monaco Zuril" on ebay. Google did not give me any information on this. Looks a complete fake to me, but I only have mediocre level knowledge about vintage. No intentions on buying this, but just trying to check whether this is authentic or the seller genuinely has the audacity to pass around fake s*** at that price

There were plenty of white-label Monacos, you can find Dugenas and others out there. I think if he’d be faking it he’d have painted a Heuer shield on it instead

What's a white label Monaco?

What's a white label Monaco?

Heuer made watches for other brands, who would then put their logos on them. “White label” is that practice, essentially when a supplier makes the entire product but a brand then puts their name on it.
