This is being sold as part of a McLaren set for £500. This is supposedly a Loctite Technical Partner TAG... does that sound likely?
First one is surely fake. I don't recognise the model and reading the caseback text, the watch number appears to be "XXX" out of a certain number. Not quite sure what the second watch is supposed to be?
I've seen creative fakes, but the first one posted on this thread is very unique. @D.C - can I humbly suggest to have an authenticity check sticky?
Hey guys new member sign up today after buying my first Tag ! I checked the Internet for all signs of fake vs authentic and mine seems to be authentic ...the only thing that troubles me is it didn't come with a COA ...the retailer said they don't send them those and all I need is the warranty card . Should this have come with one do they sell real tags without a COA ?
Welcome @theatriks Do you mean a certificate of authenticity? If so, the retailer is right- they don't provide one. In fact, I can't think of a brand that does. Patek offer a service where you can get a COA for a watch you own from the archives, but that isn't something given out when bought new. The closest that TAG Heuer offer is in the US with their partnership with Trusted.com Would love to see a photo of what you bought!
Hey D.C. ...thanks for that info ...I was searching google on how to spot a fake and a lot of sites kept bringing up a COA ...so it had me worried lol I got a good deal on a formula 1 WA1114 Heres a shot of it
Hi everyone. I am looking at a Tag Heuer Carrera the seller received as a gift. He was told by a jewelry store that it is real but they did not open it up to confirm the serial number on the movement. He does not have the box or any paperwork. Pics below. Thoughts? Thank you.
Thank you. He is asking $200 CAD. I will just stick with the one I have been wearing since 1997. Cheers
The price itself should set the alarms off, but also the watch is among the worst attempts i've seen in this forum. Also consider changing your jeweler
It certainly did set off lots of alarms. He is selling Oakley sunglasses too but I did confirm they were real. He admitted to not knowing if Tag was 100% real, only saying that jewelry store told him it was. I appreciate the replies.
Ask the seller to get rid of it the same way as someone would do with old ATM/ Credit cards, that is wreck it. Drive over it, I prefer twice. There is no excuse for selling fake's, none. It is a criminal fraud.
