With so many requests asking what aspects suggest my watch may be fake, it makes me very dubious as to the reason behind the requests.
Can see a legitimate request to advance knowledge on avoiding a fake in future. Can also see the scenario where information is fed back to make these elements better on future fakes.
This whole place is hacked and every second you spend here, a continuous stream of malware works its way through your entire device and local network.
Or maybe some members use some browser extension that automatically translates text which means that when they quote us, what we see is their local language.
I have no idea but these are the only logical reasons I can think of.
" was aimed specifically at you". 😉 ouch, haha. Awkward error.
I'm sorry, but that one reason sounds farcical. Why would anyone use a browser extension.
Did it match the model number? Sometimes we get lucky, and it doesn't.
wow never seen the movement holder like that in the fake before. Weird. And the gold movement. See guys, told you the fakes have the Swiss R9 movements too.
J Jay_83Thanks guys. It was the lume pop that was definitely looked off and set off my suspicions. Any other aspects that are glaringly obvious showing it’s fake?
Lumepip is the last reason why it is now possible to detect a fake. LOL
@Garry Belton I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't be surprise if most, or not all, are fake. What I can say for sure is I wouldn't buy one from one of those sellers, or any other seller I didn't know personally. In fact, I wouldn't buy an Aquaracer unless it was from an AD or certified pre-owned from an AD.
It's depressing, but yes. The only safe bets are the older models that are not popular or ones that can't easily be faked, like Calibre S for example. Bet those fakers would love to be able to make the yellow dial Calibre S Aquaracer...
Do subs, superoceans and seamasters get faked as often as Aquaracers or have I just not noticed ?
Likewise with Superoceans and Seamasters - they're harder to get right, and all of these are generally subject to more scrutiny by buyers than any modern TAG Heuer
Could you explain why you think so for the superocean? In my opinion the superocean is a worse finished, worse bang for buck and pretty much competing with the Aquaracer. I would not say that superocean and seamaster play in the same league. Just curious to learn why you think superoceans would be more difficult to counterfit than an Aquaracer?
J Jay_83Luckily I’ve been refunded and I’m sending it back in the next few days. Let me know if there are any other photos that people want to see if specific areas of the watch and I’ll take them before sending it back. Might help others in future??
