Was a GT5 fan back with my PS3. Didn’t play PS for years but just decided to hunt one down on release day, as wasn’t fussed at pre-order stage.

Ended up with three PS5’s on the run up to Christmas but, don’t worry, I didn’t profit. One went to an old school friend for his Son for Christmas and my brother had the other one. I actually made a £1 loss as he mistook the price. Must have been the only person to lose money on one!

Anyway, it’s a fantastic machine and well worth getting one. Looking forward to Gran Turismo, but Wreckfest is current favourite, with the kids muted online that is.

I can't stand that 'in-car' view... it looks like you are driving from the back seat. When would you ever have the roof of the car and the whole steering wheel in your eye line?

I just wished TAG Heuer stayed with Gran Turismo up to GT7. With GT7 just being launched after 25 years from its initial release, this has been promised to be the biggest and best version of Gran Turismo ever (yet) Also playable in PS4 & PS5. BBS forged wheel maker is one of the sponsors also. 👍

Does anybody have the game yet? If so, how does it compare to GT Sport in terms of graphics and the driving physics?

I have the GT7 25th Anniversary Edition but haven’t really spent that much time with it yet. Still waiting for an updated wheel/rig setup. It’s basically an amalgation of anything and everything great about GranTurismo in its more than 2 decades of existence and development. GT Sport which is mostly online play is also incorporated in GT7. You will probably get more out of of the graphics and real time “ray tracing” when using PS5.

Here are some links, guide and intro, for GT7 from the PlayStation website 😀

They added a lot of content to GT Sport after its initial release so that non-online play was pretty good too. I enjoyed GT Sport a lot, but got bored after a while. I read that the GT7 engine is based on GT Sport, so just wondering how different it is in terms of the actual driving experience.

I have a PS4 Pro, don't plan to get a PS5 for this game. I don't even think my old steering wheel is compatible with the PS4 Pro, played GT Sport with the controller. LOL, so I'm not hardcore, just curious.

You can play GT7 with PS4 😀

Yes it is based on GT Sport but much much more 😀 Like Tuning, Cafe, License etc 😉

It’s probably the pinnacle of Gran Turismo ::psy::

Just picked up the game. I must say I'm a bit disappointed. 🙁 Whereas GT Sport (in its final form, with all the content added) was a big upgrade over GT 6 with many new jaw dropping features, GT 7 should have been called GT Sport 2.0. The game looks and plays almost exactly the same. Yes there's additional things to do, but I'm not seeing anything new and innovative in the game yet, perhaps I haven't gotten far enough along.

I'm also quite annoyed at the way the game restricts your progression by having to go to the Cafe to collect menus and also all the yacking that goes on at many locations in the GT world map. Plus it's irritating having to get your Licenses all over again. This might be a Gran Turismo tradition, but sheesh after playing each GT game for the last 25 years these License challenges have gotten really old.

Worse, no more TAG Heuer or Senna! 👎 But on the upside, I'm looking forward to getting the Gulf-Porsche 917K! 👍

Already have the MP4/4 in Forza 7. I need to fire up GT7 again to download the August update to get that car!

I've not been playing GT7 all that much, I'm quite a ways into the game but it's still so similar to GT Sport that I'm not that motivated. Because I played the heck out of Sport, GT7 just feels repetitive. I guess I should play more to build up 18M to buy the Gulf Porsche 917. 🙄
