Just bought Dirt Rally 2.0 game of the year Edition. It's heavily discounted in the playstore right now. Awesome game.
See you on the stages - I'm currently in 6th place after the first event in this month's R2-class event
I don't have a playstation plus account. So I don't play online games up to now. Since I am a VERY casual gamer, I think it might be a quite frustrating experience for me to race against the cracks. But who knows, maybe I will give it a try.
Huh - I'm on Xbox and while I don't pay for a play-against-other-people level subscription, the free level allows for situations like rallying where you're up against a leaderboard. It's perfect really - I can race and compare myself to the best, without having to listen to a 12-year old scream antisemitic things at me over a headset! If you go into the Career mode, do you not see the daily, weekly, and monthly events?
Cool! I saw it, but didn't give it a try yet. Just downloaded the game the night before. As soon as I have time I try it
You're on place 17 in Australia right now respect. I am in 3358, but had a bad time penalty for a little accident .
I had a really good run in Argentina - I'm starting to get the setup right, finally - and climbed up to 3rd place (!) through most of New England. Then I had a weird landing from a small jump on the second-to-last stage, the car tore off to the right into the rocks and I had to retire Ended the event in 58th. Really disappointing, but that's rallying for you! Cannot wait to take on the Group N / R4-class monthly event this weekend!
Hey wow, crazy. And you are 10th in Australia. You should be part of those offical VR Race events. Aren't some of them sponsored by TAG Heuer, too? How come you are so good at this, and still have time to work out alternative Carrera lineups?
I've always had a bit of a knack for racing games, but even so it's taken me more than a year of playing Dirt Rally 2.0 (since its release) to get to this point! Well here in the US we didn't really try very hard to beat covid, so we're still in lockdown for a while - so I've got nothing but time LOL Hoping I can finish better in this week's New Zealand event.
I've read that it's easier to play with steering wheel than classic controller. Do you have a playseat and all that?
I haven't played with a wheel, but I'd imagine it is - the controller doesn't allow for very fine steering angle control. But I don't want to put a whole rig in my apartment so I just stick with the controller, and tune the cars for more stability.
I must have missed this news. Haven't played GT Sport in many months, just fired it up today and was SHOCKED to see that TAG Heuer has been replaced by Michelin! Very sad! My favorite watch brand is no longer in my favorite game.
It was announced around May 2020. The pics above are a good remembrance of TAG Heuer in Gran Turismo. Click me TAG Heuer, always will be the Racer’s Chronograph.
I remember it well, don't need pics to remind me, it just upsets me more frankly. It would be like the equivalent if McLaren altered all images of their cars to remove "TAG Heuer" because they are no longer current sponsors. That's a no no to me.
iRacing is more of a simulator than a game, in fact many race teams use it for practice and for their drivers to learn new tracks. I think much of the 2020 NASCAR season was run in iRacing as well
