I've compared the 160th Carrera H02 and the 60th Carrera and can confirm the difference in noise. 60th is way less noisy. It's also the same with the Porsche RS Carrera.
@Hubert would be able to confirm this.

As a bit of an add to this the rotor on my batgirl is noisy as well when spinning. It does not freewheel spin like the H02 but it does make some of that same scratchy noise. It is muuuuuuuch less noticeable. I don't have the same noise on my earlier 50 hour power reserve Rolex watches. I am thinking maybe a bearing change helped with the winding of the higher power reserves the watches are now capable of. Also, I don't even notice the rotor noise when wearing the 160th on wrist so not a deal breaker in any way.

Noise reduction will be a welcome improvement. What actually bugs me more is when I can feel it oscillating like a Top on my wrist as it free spins away. Minor stuff though. As long as it's accurate and reliable, I'll be happy.

80 hours of power reserve is an impressive spec. But the required spinning to make that possible is a drawback. I would have settled for 50 hours. But if less less noisy that would be a big step.

Hmmm, anyone with a Red Carrera glassbox notice any difference?

After some “scientific testing” (i.e., giving them a good whirl), I cannot say that there is any significant difference between the two. Red Carrera may be a little quieter, but not by much. All of my H02 pieces sound and feel about the same.

Thanks!
The first thing everyone will do now is a sound test on their Pandas. I know I will. Lol

This release is going to be very popular here. We may need to trouble @Mspeedster to start another running list! 😉 🥰

I already have a mental image of the members who I think (or expect) are getting one so far, which is at least 9-10. Plus there's always old members and new members who seem to turn out for a hot release as well.

So a Lupin style split dial Carrera. That's something to get behind.

That graphic almost implies we'll get a panda and a reverse panda.

Is it true? Two Carreras? 😀
Certainly not this week, and not seen anything else to suggest it either.

Oh no.... the WOTY will be split and the green Aquaracer will win! 😁

Good to see another watch scientist doing science in the forum, keep it up

I think the teaser graphics were meant to keep those in the dark guessing.

But wouldn't it be cool to get an evil twin panda too!

Looking at the Carrera on my wrist, I see that the embargo will be lifted in approximately 150 minutes. I will have a posting showing the 60th Anniversary Carrera, and comparing it with a couple of other vintage and modern models.

Looking forward to seeing the reactions from the enthusiasts!!
