I think it was Alonso who said it was a great, clean scrap, emphasising the quality and cleanliness of the competition between himself and Checo, which i thought was a very good thing for him to have said.
Incredible Alonso and Checo.. when the greats get together these things happen, Alonso's year is incredible and being able to fight with an almighty Red Bull with the same tires is within the reach of very few drivers, the overtaking on the last lap was something to see repeated for a long time, great battle of two great pilots and friends
Wow, this is odd. Qualy at midnight on Friday night, then the race at 10pm on Saturday night... which is 7am in Europe.
I don't have high hopes for this to be more than a spectacle showing off Las Vegas as cars go around with not much action. But, I really hope it will be a good circuit of course. Maybe next year I will be up to watch it live 7am on a Sunday.
Things are just starting to get interesting in Vegas at that time, after all it's the city that never sleeps. Actually, I read that the times were chosen to get better TV viewership from our European friends.
Yeah it makes sense for it to be dark otherwise the viewers won't get the full Vegas effect... I do hope the kerbs really do have playing card symbols on, that will be hilarious.
Love this quote from Alonso : "Alonso shrugged off complaints about jet lag, saying: "It is a tough sport. It is not football." " (from here : https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/67436111 )
Great, thanks for the pics! Which hotel is TAG Heuer using as their base for the GP? (I'd guess Ceasars Palace, since the Boutique is there.)
