Oh those wheels looking nice. Why dont we get these on the F1 cars?
Aero wins our over elegance sadly… I’d have loved to see a BBS E50 style wheel or an OZ old school type design but looks like that won’t be happening

Pffff aero, that is bullshit. We want fancy looking cars battling on legendary tracks, who cares about a few tens here or there.

We could have had nice wheels, it's the stupid FIA who want the wheel covers so they can put dumbass digital displays on them or some nonsense!

Why are people so dumb. Alpine reveals new livery (paid for by BWT) and people are moaning about it being pink. What do they not understand about how advertising revenue works? Probably the same people who call for the McLaren team to race in full Gulf colours every weekend, completely ignoring whether Gulf are prepared to pay for 'whole car' advertising.

Supposedly Martini paid almost nothing for their Williams whole car sponsorship, kind of understandable given they're one of the most iconic liveries in motorsport and elevated the car and team while wearing the stripes. People are willing to pay good money to Porsche for Gulf and Martini stickers on their own new cars so these guys can't be that motivated to spend big.

I don't mind the pink and blue, has a kind of 80s tracksuit vibe about it that works.

Actually I can see why Williams having Martini stripes would attract other sponsors, but then Williams were bottom of the grid charlies and they probably couldn't charge that much (relatively speaking) anyway, bit different for McLaren who are at the pointy end of the grid.

Yes, perhaps it's McLaren that should pay Gulf for the privilege of dressing up in one of the coolest liveries in motorsport history. 😉

The other interesting thing with Gulf and Martini is that they’re among the only really good non-cigarette liveries. JPS, Gold Leaf, Rothmans, Marlboro, Mild Seven all looked amazing but can’t come back… it’s a shame all of those beautiful liveries are tied to smokes.

Yes… and we could include another beautiful tobacco livery: West

I know it's along way off but could the Russian GP be in jeopardy? I don't see a quick fix to the political situation going on at the moment.

On the contrary I think it increases the chance for more races in Russia. F1 seems to favour places where human rights are very questionnable 😉

I mean… you’re not wrong. If the money is questionable then F1 will definitely boycott the event but irrespective of how that money is earned, F1 will take it. That’ll be a nice photo for whichever driver wins shaking hands with Putin.

Camel is another tobacco livery I liked a lot. Mainly because I love yellow sports cars and a certain yellow helmet. 😀

It's also interesting that the new MCL36 appears to be sporting a Gulf inspired livery, however, the orange used could also be McLaren's papaya orange and the blue could be VELO's blue. Ironic given the recent discussion about tobacco livery, as VELO is a nicotine product. In any case, it's a nice way of blending McLaren's heritage with the colors of their Gulf & VELO (British American Tobacco) sponsors.

You can see from the team polo shirt that there’s still a little tribute and appreciation to Honda from Red Bull 👍👍
Nice catch! I wonder if "Honda" is also on the car and/or racing suits in a similarly small & obscure location. Odd that it would be on their team polo shirts and not elsewhere.
So "Honda" is on the RB18 and also on the RB racing suits under the guise of "HRC" Honda Racing Corporation. I didn't catch the shift from Honda to HRC before. HRC traditionally handled Honda's motorcycle racing but now has been expanded to cover F1 as well.

I suspect the situation has changed now, I wonder how the Haas team team are being received in Barcelona, not the teams fault but anti Russian feelings may arise even in sport.

I know new cars always look strange, but this year they look like they are melting. Not a good look.
