Could he be going to Haas or another team?
I think he is moving to a senior position at Alpine road car company thingy?

I’m excited to see Vettel in more or less the same machinery with Sir Hamilton! 😉 Plus Max getting in the mix knowing this is the last year of the Red Bull-Honda partnership 😉

I believe it was a “nickname” given to that model. And not really in any official release from TH. And also not particular to the F1 orange dial only. Alonso just got to McLaren and was TH’s brand ambassador when TH launched that model (2007) and as a former world champion, Alonso had more recall and fame compared to the newly starting rookie Sir Hamilton 😉

A simple search in google with “TAG Heuer Alonso”, and this model quickly pops out even more than the Aquaracer which was actually dedicated to him. 😲

I don’t know how it came to be but this F1 is very popular, has an instant recall and holds its value very well 👍

It’s February 01. And yet still no confirmation of Sir Lewis Hamilton starting F1 Grid in 2021.
Wondering why contract negotiation is taking this long? 😕

Doubt its money. Maybe he demands for George to never be in a Merc again 😁

Or maybe he wants to become even more political in his driver role which might become too high risk for Mercedes

Got these theories or rumors trending in the WWW 😲 These are not mine but I’m not sure what to believe either 😜

I think Merc are in a tough spot actually, I'm sure they'd like to give Lewis as much money as he wants but in the current situation where people are losing their jobs they can't be seen as a public company to do that. Of course, if they had set up the team as a 'privateer' with Merc engine supply they could do what they liked... for now at least - until the salary cap comes in.

If I were in Lewis’s position I would more than happy to drive for free, simply to have the best chance of a record breaking run. I’ve read elsewhere he apparently wants to politicise the drive, his position, and Mercedes want to remain neutral, who knows and frankly I for one am losing interest in the circus.

I hope money is not the main issue for Sir Lewis. The salary cap is an agreed rule among teams and I don’t think any team can change that for now. If not money, then what would be the main issue do you think?

Isn't the problem that if you overpay the driver then you have to take the money out of the operating budget, damn sure Merc won't be keen on that idea!

If I was team boss I would want to make sure that Lewis doesnt do stuff like showing up on race weekend wearing a shirt stating that police officers should be put in prison for murdering someone

Note: I have no interest in or knowledge in these actual cases, so not trying to make a political point or anything, just in general I would find this wrong and not want my company to be assosiated with things like that

You know, if Lewis does end up standing firm and Merc won't play ball... it's not going to do his legacy much good because most likely somebody, perhaps Bottas, perhaps Russell will become world champion and everyone be like 'It was the car all along'. You need to time your exit so that the team goes down the pan when you leave ideally.

I like the choice of the two main drivers on the cover 😉
My favourite driver ever, and my favourite current driver 👍

Interesting that 4X WDC Vettel doesn't even get on the cover, bit of a slap in the face!
