I am pretty sure the interchangeable straps from the new autavia collection will fit the gen 3, can anyone confirm?

The Autavia straps will fit but with a gap of around 2mm. The Connected rubber straps won’t fit the Autavias.

I appreciate that, maybe its true, but people around me don't change straps at all. However TAG's product manager said that the majority don't want to change lugs it was too complicated and expensive coupled with questionable, or shall we say, avantgarde design. These are the articles on wired and engadget, its all there. People don't change horses in the middle of successful race - here you have Gen 3 because it was not a success with Gen 2 obviously.
At least they should make the bands brace the body. That should be a must..

I am having trouble using the TH Golf app on the watch. When I try to access it, I get a message on the watch that states "Please install or update TAG Heuer Golf on your mobile." Hitting the install button pulls up Play Store on my phone, which confirms the app is installed. When I go into the app, there is a "Watch" tab. On that page, there is a button that reads "Pair your TAG Heuer Connected." Clicking that says to "Open TAG Heuer Golf on your watch. Follow the pairing steps." The watch and phone are paired, as evidenced by the connection in Wear OS and TH Connected app, as well as my ability to receive notifications on the watch from the phone and ability to install watch faces from the Watchmaker app. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Damn that's too bad. It's sounds like you have tried this?

Battery life seems good so far. After 12 hours i have 52% with decent amount of notifications, heart rate tracking, and AOD. Battery life usually sucks for the first week so I expect it to get even better.

I am having trouble using the TH Golf app on the watch.
1- Make sure you have downloaded the new TAG Heuer Connected app (1.2.1, March 13th) in the phone.
2- Make sure you have downloaded the latest software updates in the watch: Build PWDX.200221.004, Wear OS 2.14.
3- Open Play Store in the watch - My apps - Update all.
4- Open the app TAG Heuer Sports in the watch - Settings - Define account - Allow GPS - Activated.
5- Open Settings in the watch - Connectivity - Location of phone and watch - On.

Hope it helps.

OK, so the bracelet is quick release. What is the lug to lug distance on this watch?

Thanks for the help. Going through these steps, the one thing that is odd is that on TH Sports app on the watch it doesn't think it's connected to an account but I can't see how to do that. Any idea? Everything else on your list checks out.

You have to create your account in the Connected app on your phone if you dont have one already.

Thanks. Very interested to know then whether this bracelet will fit a 43mm Carrera with a 22mm lug spacing.

Read this:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...connected-watch-is-purely-additional-business
"The smart watch is additional business, and it increases our consumer base.” In fact, the connected watch business nourishes the mechanical business, according to Arnault: Some people who start with a smart watch go on to buy mechanical TAG Heuer watches.'
The concept is very similar to the 70s strategy of the ASUAG-SSIH (later SMH, later Swatch-Group) with the development of the Swatch to gain shares in the quartz watch market. The big sales of the Swatch saved the whole mechanical watch industry, Omega and all the other high end brands of the later Swatch group included.
But maybe it would be better for LVMH to create a new brand for the connected watches, in order to keep its other watchbrands from attacks from mechanical watch purists. Yet brands like TAG and Hublot are standing for Innovation, and this will always be something difficult for the traditionalists.
Sounds very much like the reasoning behind the TAG1000 series quartz divers of the 1980s. "make a cheap, but good watch that people seem to want, and get them hooked on the brand, while making a good profit with which we can fund building of the higher end products that we prefer to make".
Its a common enough business practise seen everywhere. Eg Land Rover Freelander, Ford Fiesta, etc

My guess is it would since the new Connected uses a more traditional Carrera-style case compared to the Gen 1 and Gen 2 models.

Hopefully somebody on this forum who has a 43mm Carrera and this latest Connected with the bracelet will be able test it at some point.

@Albert-AMG is the strap specialist and he will be able to help.
Albert a ver si encuentras una correa original TAG de 22 mm. con la parte de arriba curvada para que no quede hueco con la caja y que se pueda montar en el nuevo Connected.
Gracias.

To me it looks completely identical but I don't have one so can't say for sure.

it's still crazy but ......
I would try something like this before buying original straps 😟
if those fit the originals they will also go
