Damn that's too bad. It's sounds like you have tried this?

Yeh tried it yesterday, leather strap does look good on the Connected, just a shame all the quick release straps aren’t the same size!

Yes, but I want a rounded one so it embraces the case.

Not sure if its possible to remove the pins? Tried it quickly but my eyes are not that great anymore, so seems like that its not possible. But if it is, Omega's Planet Ocean 22mm - 6mm Rubber strap fits perfectly. Its a bit weird though to get Omega strap on TAG, but seems like the case is fairly universal in that respect.

Its a shame that the don't have many straps available again too. And there is no leather, or rather fake leather (rubber based) one which is out of stock from day one. At least TAG is consistent, always and totally wrong on any accessories based subject.

You’re right! It’s not possible to remove the pins... 🤬

Am I getting it right that the rest of their current product lines are not quick released but standard pin based? Well, anyway, whatever.

Website says the black version will be available within "a few days", however local store say "summer time, accepting pre-orders". Why wouldn't they just launch all of them at the same time, i get it its a marketing strategy, but an annoying one.

There is another great idea on the marketing out there - recycle your watch at 100 bucks. So that's the value folks, suck it up. I mean... I would probably stop commenting on this anyway. The watch is good, the rest in my stock are omegas, chopard, BRs etc, so I'm not that f-ed after all.

@Albert-AMG is the strap specialist and he will be able to help.
Albert a ver si encuentras una correa original TAG de 22 mm. con la parte de arriba curvada para que no quede hueco con la caja y que se pueda montar en el nuevo Connected.
Gracias.

His collection consists of the modular Connected which is different.

Yes, @Mr_Orange is right: I have researched on Modular 45 straps (only compatible with Modular system), but not many for other watches, because all my other TH have just the factory installed strap, or the original replacement, or the optional original bracelet for that specific watch... so no big research there

About the Gen3 straps, the question is: Are the springbars standard and removable? If they are thicker than usual, and mostly if they are not removable, then I think that only opened straps
with similar quick release system (like new Autavia?) would fit in Gen3. So @Ninja1400 , I’m afraid the Aquaracer rubber strap will not be compatible...

The other question is: are these Gen3 straps and bracelet compatible with standard removable
springbars from other TH mechanical watches with same lug width?

😁 😁
Yes, this “brilliant” marketing strategy offering 100$ for the previous THC in exchange if you buy Gen3 is really a joke! Just looking at ebay for used Gen2, you find the complete watch starting from 800€-1000€ (on straps, not on bracelets, which are more expensive), or per parts: around 150€ just the titanium buckle, 400-500€ the lugs, 300-400€ the smartwatch module, 80€ the rubber straps, and 150-200€ the leather straps... so offering 100$ for a complete Gen2 is really a joke! 😁

BTW, I could pay even 300€ for a good Monaco Gulf CAW211R if someone is interested to sell it 😗 😉

Yep. They only compatible straps are from Autavia and vice versa. Interestingly Autavia itself has got non removable pins (spring bars). Its possible, I would have guessed, to break them and install standard ones, but I'm not quite prepared to try so at the moment.

Not always, I have a very different experience here. I had no problems at all to find straps, mechanical modules, buckles... any of the Modular 45 accessories just ordering them at my usual AD in Barcelona, and there are many accessories for the Gen2 45! (not so many for the 41, you know 🤔).

I bought my Modular 45 in May 2018, so maybe it
was not so easy and fast when it was launched one year before, but I’m really happy with this after sales service from TH about straps and accessories, because it was also very easy (and cheap) to find the original leather strap for my S/el (from 1996), and the original leather strap and bracelet for my 6000 Senna (from 1994), so I can only clap both after sales departments from TH and from my AD 👍

The only other quick release system is the new line of autavia, and it has been confirmed that they are too narrow.

They are for sure removable, but once they are out they are not going back in lol. A standard spring bar should fit if it's 22mm, the only question would be spring bar diameter. Who is gonna try it first? Lol

I promise to be the second. 😉
