Hi. Question:
Is it easy to take the black buckle from the black strap and move it to a different strap? Is that possible? The buckle is not a quick release, I have the black TI but considering buying the red band, only if we can also move the black buckle. Let me know. Thank you.
@mdh518 has already moved the black buckle to several straps 😉. You can see it here:

https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...ected-discussions.110885/page-26#post-1477371

and also the part number and price for a separate buckle ($110) in case you don’t want to swap buckles every time you change the strap

Hello. I'm glad to have found a nice forum for Tag Heuer watches.

Can someone tell me what the yellow mark between the 10 and 20 on the dial means?
(e.g. seen in the photos of member "wowpeter" a few entries before)

Thank you.

Hello and welcome!

This yellow mark is part of the Wear OS tutorial, to indicate that if you scroll to the right, you will open new functions. But it only appears the first time you use the watch, unless you manually activate the tutorial again. It’s the same for all three generations of the TH Connected

Or maybe you could sell just the smartwatch module for around 300-400€, and keep the ti lugs, ti bracelet, ti buckle, and the 3 rubber straps, buying a Calibre 5 and/or Calibre 16 modules “Connected to Eternity” 😉

Who’s going to buy only a module?

Just for your information, there is a good market for Gen2 Modular 45 smartwatch modules.

This one, used with three months of warranty has been recently sold at around 500€:

This one, used with still 12 months of warranty, has been sold for 800€!!

And right now there are two more used smart modules on ebay (one has three months of warranty and the other doesn’t). With different days left until the end of the auctions, the bids are already close to 500€, so it is expected that they will be finally sold for more money

Hello,

I purchased my 2020 Connected last month and have been continuously getting about 15 hours a day. I am curious what others are getting. I am connected to IPhone X.

My Connected modular 45, was getting 18-19 hours.

These are with NFC off, AOD on, WiFi on, automatic brightness on and stock Tag faces. I have not installed any apps and tried a factory reset once. Still same results.

When I check the battery usage, every day the most battery consumption is due to “Miscellaneous”. Are others seeing this?

Was really expecting closer to 20 hrs with the larger battery. Any thoughts/input would be appreciated.

Have you done "battery calibration"? Check my previous post, in getting a full day plus on my watch.

Hi. Yes. Thanks for the reply. I did two full cycles of letting it run completely down and recharging. Still getting 15 hours next days.

I do also have Location turned on. Will try battery calibration again since I factory reset yesterday.

I am aware I have left a lot of battery consuming options on. Just still thought with the bigger battery we could leave a few of these on and still get decent battery life.

So really wanted to see what others were getting and if this was “normal”

That sounds like a possible issue.
when i got my watch i immediately did everything to kill the battery, then charged for 2 hours 100%, did that process 2 times and battery lasts literally like 30 hours easily.
maybe you got a defective unit, or maybe its because i am using Android (Pixel 4XL), either way. 15 is WAY too low.
and i have all sensors turned on, AOD off gesture wrist on.

I'm getting at least 24 hours.
Have NFC off
AOD off
Titl to wake on
Location on

I will generally put it on about 7am wear all day till around 11pm and take off while asleep. When I put back on I normally have about 30% or so left. Sometimes that can take me to the evening. Depending on how much use and notifications.

I've had my Watch since First day launch.
Have done what Mase suggests to calibrate the battery also. I find that as time goes on the battery seems to be getting better.

One thing I must point out though is that it depends on which watch face I use also.
Some seem to drain more than others

Cheers

Anyone know the difference between (Tilt-to-wake) and (Power saver tilt) ?
Option is under Settings>Gestures>(Tilt-to-wake) OR (Power saver tilt)

Curious to know what one does different to the other to save battery, thanks 😀

Power saver tilt to wake is only for compatible watch faces. After the update, the only compatible face is the "carbon", which was heavily updated. So now the AOD has 2 states. Super dim, when the watch is at your side, and once you bring up your wrist, the AOD gets a lot brighter. Works pretty good with my limited testing. I would hope TAG makes the rest of the faces compatible as well.

Someone else answer already! If you have the tools it is very easy. My dealer did it for me at the shop at anyway, so save me having to do it at home.

I do wish Tag will sell strap with black buckle so that I don't have to keep switching (at least least allow us to pay extra to get the black one with the extra strap).

The black titanium is out of stock again. Do they make them 5 at a time? I need to buy another one, but can't lol.

I'm so excited.

Just ordered mine too.

I have really missed some of the technical aspects on my connected 41.

Btw. Will I loose my favourite dial GMT with white dial and orange accents I've done in TH studio on the 3 gen?

I've been reading the thread closely before I pulled the trigger today.

I need to say since some folks seems to be disappointed on the 3 gen since its made in China.

I have a weakspot for headphones and just recently picked up a pair Beoplay E4 and I did notice that they also are made in Asia.

Sound, built quality and materials are outstanding.

Thanks Tag Guy, I only use the timekeeping face and don’t use AOD so looks like (power save tilt) is useless for me. Hope it’s useful for others 😀

I initially was worried it was made in China but got over it. It’s not a copy of a Tag Heuer made by a little Unknown factory in China with low grade steel that looks stainless, and uses plastic screens that looks like sapphire etc etc. designed by Tag is good enough for me.

To me it’s a smartwatch with limited life, so made in China is a non issue.
With my Swiss Watches........glad they are Swiss Made 😀
