Hi everyone, does someone know if we could use the strap from the Tag Heuer Autavia (new Cal 5 version) with this TH gen3? Because I have the new TH Autavia and it seems the straps design and easy plugs is quite identical?

Lug spacing for Gen 3 is 22mm.

The real question here is what other TAG watches will these bands fit? It seems the Carrera cailbre 16 has a very similar case, and also 22mm. If one was to remove the band and insert a stand alone spring bar, these quick release bands could fit, thus we would have a "modular" setup... Who can confirm??

If the lug width is 6mm then the bracelet will fit. Omega's strap for 2011th version of PO fits.

I'd really like a confirmation of this, because 1GB of RAM is absolutely essential for Snapdragon 3100. Anything less than this amount of RAM is for me a reason to not buy. My Fossil Sport with Snapdragon 3100 and 512MB of RAM is extremely sluggish and a much worse performer than my TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 with also 512MB but with the Intel Atom.

Non-modular
Not Swiss-made
Cheaper materials
Price increase

Do I have all that right? If so, this is a HARD pass.

Unfortunately you are correct on all points. Aside from that, once on you would never know where it's made. It looks more expensive that the 45, whereas the 45 looked more techy, some say plasticy.

Anyone know how to place the heart rate into one of the small dials?

You can edit the complications. Hold down the watch face and then select the settings wheel. You’ll then get, at the top, it’s say something like 1/4 or 1/3 telling you there are additional pages, so scroll down by pressing the bottom. The last page is where you can then edit the complications. I’m guessing HR is one of the options from what I remember on my Gen 3 (it’s not on my wrist currently).

Yup, but also faster processor, extra buttons, and a heart rate monitor.

Thank you, but heart rate is not an option.

And better screen and battery. 😉

Better screen which is not the last thing in the list I would say. In the end of the day the flashy side of the watch is always on display with a face you like.

Faster processor than Modular 45, but not than Modular 41, which has already 1GB RAM

Battery is 430 mAh Gen3 vs 410 mAh Gen2... nothing spectacular here with just 4.8% more
