And just in a matter of time, 7 consecutive F1 Double World Championships! 😲

Probably hard to beat in this lifetime 😉

It doesn't matter how well a driver does. If they're beaten by their teammate they will be unhappy.

The virtual safety car for Ocon was absurd, BTW!

Otherwise, great race!

Poor pitstop strategy on behalf of RB. Folded against Merc. On this notoriously difficult aero circuit, they should have calculated more free stretch for Ver. He was stuck behind Bot for most of the race. Max literally drove his car to pieces to overtake Bot in a damaged merc. Pretty bizarre. Ham both best racer and best strategist today. Kimi wins the vote but he lucked out with that safety car. Ham chose to stay out while Bot and Ver pitted and decided the race then and there with miles of free stretch. The safety car only complicated things for him. A couple more best laps after that.

WHAT A TEAM!! 🥰 And what a better way to win the 7th consecutive constructor’s Title (new record) than with a 1-2 and the fastest lap in the #ImolaGP?

Bottas was unlucky catching that Vettel’s debris, but Hamilton’s strategy and fastest laps extending his first stint were brilliant, and he was already in the lead even without the VSC for Ocon.

I’m sorry for Red Bull Racing and their 0 points here... Max had the 2nd position in the pocket, but his technical problem (also because of debris?) was worst than suffered by Bottas. I’m also sorry for Checo, because he lost the podium because of his last pit stop, and I’m also sorry for Gasly, who was in a strong 5th position when he had to retire. A nice race in a circuit where we expected a boring race because overtaking is very difficult

Hamilton could already secure his 7th Title in the next race unless Bottas scores at least 8 more points than him, while Bottas is more safe now in the 2nd position ahead of Max. The fight for the 4th position is still very open

With the Constructor’s Title already decided with four races to go, the interest is now in the close fight for the 3rd position, with Renault, McLaren, and Racing Point... in just 1 point!

They have already won 7 consecutive F1 Double World Championships 😉, because only a Mercedes driver can win the driver’s Title. Max is mathematically ruled out after Imola

A soon as they mentioned putting on the hard tyre I said to my wife, so Max will stop, Bottas will react, Hamilton will stay out and win the race. And then we had the virtual safety car and I turned it off and went and had a shower... if Hamilton would have put in the laps and come out in front it would have been annoying but fair enough, but this just further proved the point that Hamilton is a lucky git. He probably would have won anyway, but this was just so annoying... and if you didn't know better you might have thought Bottas was holding Max up so that Lewis could come out in front and Merc get a 1-2... but Max retired anyway so it didn't matter and Bottas apparently had some mysterious floor damage from somewhere...

Is there any reason to think Hamilton won't win 13 out of 17 this year?

Hamilton, not discounting that he is a well talented & skilled driver, simply has the fastest/strongest car in Formula 1 and is also supremely lucky! I doubt anyone can truly beat that. Luck, driving skill & HP! 😉😉😉
