Seems high-ish? That works out to $9,500.

At the moment on Chrono24 we have (all USD):
- 1969-79: two ($10,900/ $11,265)
- 1979-89: none
- 1989-99: two ($9500/ $9,897)
- 1999-2009: two ($7,448/ $8,136)
- 2009- 2019: one ($6,695)

it’ll be interesting to see where these prices go. I suppose the very limited supply side will always keep them in demand.

i may be living in false hope to snap them up a bit cheaper in next 6 to 12 months. I really doubt they’ll go up in value in the current climate.

want the gray and the brown one.

There seems to be a 1969-1979 unworn for sale from Dubai...for the equivalent of over $18,000 US...? Did I read that right?

This video does a good job of showing the “Stealth” aspect of this design.
I congratulate TH for their whole 50 year anniversary models for really pushing the boundaries of traditional colours and design.
Some were quite controversial, and I was one who was critical when the low render images were leaked, only to be pleasantly surprised when rolled out.
Still haven’t been able to see number 1 & 3 in the metal yet, and look forward to that one day.

I agree- while rolling out more "classic" designs would have been more instantly gratifying, I like that they took a chance and didn't produce even one obvious design. I don't love them all, but I think bravery was the better call.

I second that, the last thing we needed was more 'safe' blue Monacos!

This is what I also love about TAG Heuer, to be daring, to be different & pioneering, to be Avant-Garde 👍

All of the 50th edition Heuer Monacos quickly sold out and tells us they are well sought after by giving customers more choices. 😉

I’m sure they could have made a few more and still sold them all though 😝

Indeed. I guess they wanted to sell them before the next one came out though so they played it rather too safe.

i think the sill adherence to variation of the founding year or something daft like that meant they made just a tad too few. They could have easily sold 250 of each, i dare say even 500. But it is what it is at the end of the day. CPSBITD.

TH wanted to stick with “169 “as reference to the year “1969” birth year of the Monaco. Which is for me not the same.

And I thought how Omega came up with 5441 for the first Snoopy was a stretch.::facepalm1::

It's now on my wish list. However, there are several others that go ahead of this one.

I did! However, I thought it was way too expensive to be second hand.

I still think the last one was my least favourite of all of them... 3,2,1,4,5

I don't look that often, but from what I've seen, the asking prices on the second hand market tend to follow the same order as the releases:
1 is usually the most expensive, followed by 2 & 3, then 4 & 5. All still have asking prices for thousands above retail and hasn't change that much from last year to this year.

I'm still over the moon to have gotten one direct from TAG Heuer. 😁

Great shot @Mspeedster , when I get the chance, this will have to join my collection.
You’ve done a great job showing the texture and grain off the face in this photo.
That is what has drawn me to this watch. When it was originally released I wasn’t drawn to it. But when I discovered it had.... what I term “Concrete finish” it was too late and they had all gone.
As I mentioned above, the 50th models pushed the design envelope with some great new textures and finishes.
