Here it is! We are on the clock and less than 3 weeks away from the messenger in grey - the third of the series! Who is excited for this one? I think this is the one I’m most conflicted about....

 

I have a deposit in place for this piece. Let's see how this one turns out to be.

 

Could go either way based on the render... I’m hoping it pops a bit more in the flesh. The red one certainly did so you never know....

 

Please never call it the Messenger in Grey again, that's nearly as bad as the Red Devil!

 

It’s a forum site - any time you want to submit your own ideas everyone can judge. Comes with the territory if you ever throw something out there. Oh and creativity is the aim of the ‘not supposed to know what it looks like’ game we are playing at the moment. ‘Officially’

 

All I can think of is 'The Grey Lady' which is (admittedly) even worse than your idea...

 

It was the best I could do on a limited imaginative budget. Plus i still don’t really know how to take this one. I’m not sure if I actually like it or if it’s a bit flat for me... I feel like it doesn’t pop the way the first two do but I might be wrong when it gets released.

 

Yeah, I think we need to see this one properly... I can't help thinking it might seem a little flat after the red one.

 

I wonder if it’s had the same flood of pre-orders as 70s and 80s did? I feel like the way Tag is spacing the releases could mean it all kind of runs out steam over the next couple of months.

 

Yeah, I can see the idea of launching 5 watches... but I'm not sure of the best way to go about it. If they'd released them all at once I think the green and red would have got all the attention, but this way... they are now releasing what looks in comparison like a slightly duller watch, I think it's going to be hard to stimulate interest. Having said that, the standard grey Monaco is quite nice...

 

Lady Grey isn't bad. Or Earl Grey. Or, The Game Boy!

They're all going to look great and be highly sought after. I think the 2010 edition is going to be really special too.

 

I like the game boy - I does remind me of the old grey brick I used to have. Come to think of it, if I still had it maybe I could have sold it to pony up for one of these!

 

So if the subdials were highlighted with the a/b button colours of the original game boy I would sell a kidney to buy this thing. Somehow I think it would be a bit much for most though!

Slightly off subject but does anyone have any info on the apparent 1000 piece special edition that is coming out later in the year.
I have asked my AD to let me know if they have any info that they can share, but nothing yet.
