Hi David,
I am somewhat new to the Tag Heuer but have fallen for the classic look and history of the brand. I saw a picture of the CH80 and it had EVERYTHING in a watch that my heart desired!! I was truly saddened when they decided to focus on other projects. Everything I have learned has been from your website and now the forums. Thanks for your dedication and hard work! GW

I'm delighted to be joining this forum. My collection began with the Autavia and has contined to grow over the past few years with the inclusion of more TAG Heuer, Omega, Christopher Ward, Rolex, Copernicus and Gerlach watches. I'm looking forward to joining in and learning more about the timepieces featured here.

Thank you for the welcome D.C. I do have photographs of my watches and to get started this is the one that peaked my initial interest in collecting, I hope the forum likes it. I will post more in due course with an introduction.

Good looking Autavia. I bought one of these in about 2007 when no-one was interested in the watch and it was seen as a failure. I paid GBP650 and thought that I'd done very well. My only complaint was how flat the watch sat on the wrist. I guess I was used to the vintage models that typically have raised casebacks, but this one was flush.

I sold it maybe a year later...for GBP650, which was crazy given they're probably worth double that now.

I paid £960 for my Autavia in 2005, at a time when ADs were selling them off. A watch that clearly was out of favour but it was the perfect 'fit' for me. I guess if I were to flip it I would realise a small profit but that's something that doesn't interest me. I will write an introduction tomorrow which will explain better my passion for collecting including the not so fashionable. 😉

Hi David,

first I got in contact to TAG Heuer was last year, as my wife gived me the 2000 Auto Chrono as birthday-present. I happened to buy the 2000 Auto the same time. I thaught that the TAG Heuer watches are good for every day. One day I got the Heuer French 1611 in Exchange for my Speedmaster reduced and last I got the 2000 Exclusive.

So I think I like (TAG) Heuer watches. Thank you for hosting this websites and the forum.

Welcome MROH and great to have you here. Really like the dial on your 2000...these were only made for a couple of years.

I have loved watches since I was a child and have been collecting them for a number of years now. My first Luxury watch was a Tag Heuer Link. Since then I have collected many more including Omega, Rolex, Tudor, Longines, Hublot etc however I have always had a special place for Tag Heuer.
It is great to have a forum to talk to other people with the same interest.
