Arguably, the two darlings of this forum, the BB58 and Glassbox Carrera. 😀😀

The bb58 really is a masterpiece and is probably the closest we have come to universal agreement on any watch. The glassbox has always felt like a swing and a miss, it’s hard to look past the milky ring, although maybe it’s better on the wrist?

The "ring" is more of a distortion affect to me, rather than what I'd call milky (like the Speedy's). I really don't notice it much on my black dialed dato 45.

Regardless, I agree that the glassbox has a lot more flaws compared to the BB58, yet it's won the first two COCO WOTY votes. Not so sure that it will win this year, my money says no. But if the rumors of a glassbox panda are true, I'd bet it takes the 2023 WOTY again.

I dont notice that milk ring on wrist at all

Yes, the glassbox has a few flaws. I don't notice a milky ring, but I do notice that the minute track is quite distorted and difficult to use (mostly when setting the time). It could be a little thinner too. But overall, I think it's a fabulous watch really, and worthy of watch of the year.

Still, would be nice not to have a glassbox again this year. Hopefully it'll be something else and then return next year with the panda 😀

Is this the first year without a glassbox? So the contest might actually be close this year. TH might surprise us with a late release of the panda 👍
Since the panda will have a silver/white dial the milky ring won’t be much of an issue.

Tomorrow, as a prelude to the WOTY reveal on the 24th and 27th, I will be filling in the gaps with my personal WOTYs (actually top 3) for all the years the blog has been going before the COCO started, so that's 2016-2019. Can you guess what I picked? 😀
