Fair point, and actually I rather liked the idea of making the whole dial orange and blue. 👍

Which watch would you choose as the King of Gulf then?

Very nice choice! I love that one too. Love 'em all actually! 😁
My CAW2113 can look very similar, except it has white sub-dials.

This was the original thread: https://forums.calibre11.com/threads/2018-monaco-gulf-first-victory-50th-anniversary-caw211t.77576/

It was inferred to be available globally. If you read through the thread, you can see it wasn't just US members who were trying to get the CAW211T.

On page 6 is where Darryn (@heuerholic), lucked out and stumbled across his great find at the Ginza TAG Heuer Boutique in Tokyo. https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...-anniversary-caw211t.77576/page-6#post-994528

I went to the Ginza store to see the Gulf King watch, but I couldn't buy it after it was sold out.

Shop staff told me that the watch sold out 1hour before.

I guess @heuerholic bought it ...

Should I buy GULF KING (CAW211T) if it is sold as a used one now?

Or should I buy a new limited edition that is expected to be released this year?

Anyone, please tell me your opinion.

Depends on the price, if you can find one used. But at this stage, I'm over the Gulf King and waiting to see if TH will release a new King of Gulf watches to celebrate 50 years of the movie Le Mans.

The answer is a BIG YES! What is greater than a (Gulf) KING? 😲😲😲

Well, I've seen some used and the asking price was over $10k. No thank you, not for those prices. Maybe if it was around $8k I'd consider it.

As for what's greater? If TH releases a new Monaco Gulf that appeals to me more, that will be greater. I'd hate to drop big money on the Gulf King only to find out later that the King is dead, after TH releases a new King.

I have one thing in mind now.
The second-hand price tag is $5500.

So I'm very confused.

At that price, a definite yes! IIRC, list prices was around $6.3k when new. I haven't checked used prices in the last year or so, hard to believe they'd come down that much. But if the watch is authentic, go for it!

Long Live the (Gulf) King 😁

I’ll answer my question, “Who or what is greater than a Gulf King?” 😉

It is the GULF HERO 👍

It should come in a big outer box, with a space for the book, and the watch box too in an inner box. That's the complete set.

If I’m a super Gulf, Heuer & GT40 fan, I’d swipe the CC in a heartbeat 🥰
