I was waiting for your review on the TH Connected Modular!
😀 I tried to post a comment in your blog, but it doesn’t appear, so I post it here:
That’s an interesting review, Rob!
👍 Above all because it comes from someone not interested in smartwatches, and the review is focused just in half part: the “watch” part of the “smart-watch”
But in fact you already own a basic smartwatch: your TAG Heuer Microtimer is like a primitive smartwatch, it also shows a black digital screen when is out of battery
😉
The Connected Modular just shows more advanced graphics and has more features than the Microtimer, but both are digital watches (without mechanic hands) powered by a battery
I have compared both the Connected Modular 45 and 41 on my wrist, and I think the 45mm it’s quite more proportionated... in fact it has a very similar design (case, lugs, and straps) of a 45mm Carrera (HEUER 01, 02, and 02T). For that reason, the only sentence of your article I don’t understand is when you write “but do I really believe people are going to be wearing their Calibre 5, 16 and Tourbillon modules in ten years time? Not really, no”...
😕
Why not? The Connected Modular 45 with the Calibre 16 mechanical module looks almost exactly like the non-modular and non-skeleton Carrera Calibre HEUER 01...

Do you mean people are not going to wear this HEUER 01 in ten years time neither?
😲 I don’t think so! When my smartwatch module becomes obsolete, I will still enjoy my Carrera Calibre 5 and Calibre 16 modules with all my different Modular accessories during the rest of my life (hopefully more than 10 years!), and this is the meaning of the #connectedtoeternity motto for the TH Connected Modular
🙄
