Thanks Matt...

So a little bit of info I can give you,

Part 2 - 2013/2016
Part 3 - 2017/2019
Part 4 - 2019/2021
Part 5 - 2022 onwards
Part 6 - Other Chronographs (no firm dates)
Part 7 - Other Watches (no firm dates)

And remember that Nicholas Biebuyck's book only gives dates for watch heads not head/strap combinations so it was of limited use.

The CV2A10 and CV2A11 were my first TAG Heuer automatics. Thirteen years later, they are slowly becoming my own “vintage” pieces.

Blimey - what a great write up. Can’t imagine how long that took to pull together!

that’s quite a large number of watches in 4 years!

No easy task that's for sure. Well done. 👍

FYI. I've noticed a number of discrepancies between your blog and the TH book. For example, the book states the salmon dial CS3112 is from '96, while you list it as 2000. I believe you might be correct. Also, your description of the CV5111 states silver/black dial. But in this case it's incorrect, CV5111 is a silver/blue dial. With so many Carreras, there's bound to be some discrepancies, it's really too bad the TH book can't be 100% trusted.

Thanks, I've changed the blog on the CV5111 (and I can plainly see it's blue now).
To be honest it's actually quite hard to check these posts thoroughly because you just stop taking it in after a few minutes.
As for the salmon dial, well I can't say - if it came out in 1996 but it didn't appear in the catalogue until 2000 then it will say 2000 because I just don't have the facility to know when everything came out. It would be great if I'd started the blog in 1986 and done it as we went along. 😁
Also in general with Nicholas book you have to remember he only talks about watch heads, whereas I am talking about combinations so as we know TH were quite keen on refreshing watches with new straps along the way but it's not always clear when these happen.

I've seen some others list the salmon dial as 1996 as well. But I'm not sure if this is because they're just following what's listed in the TH book or if it's based on something else. Based on the catalogues, I would also say it's from 2000, as it doesn't appear in any previous catalogue. OTOH, we know just because something is stated in a catalogue doesn't make it 100% correct either (i.e. 1000 Chronos, 1964-2004 40th Anniversary Carrera etc.) and catalogues don't necessarily show all of the models in a given year.
