I remember reading this article. But it wasn't from a hardcopy of QP magazine, it was somewhere on-line.

The more I think about it the more I feel like this whole 'titanium is harder to machine' line is exaggerated to the point of nonsense. I work in the engineering industry and while yes titanium does require different tooling it's not like they are trying to machine Duplex, now that's difficult (plus a watch made of Duplex would weigh a ton).

Any watch brand claimimg that titanium is difficult to machine is full of shit of course. Perhaps this was true decades ago when they started using titanium fot watches but these days even micro brand and Chinese shitters use full titanium cases with a sales price of a couple hundred.
